Before you ask, Odin was a Norse God of which this day is named.

2-1 (+5 units), Blazers spoiled my sweep but poor Oden's injury, left the middle wide open for 2nd half Colbyfest. You have to feel bad for the guy, nobody has that kind of bad luck after sitting out a whole year on the first night back.

1. 76ers Over 190 (3 units), look for an up tempo game, they have played over in the last 5 games. O'neal will add scoring and Speights is underrated for the 76ers. Line should move to 192 by tip. 76ers 102 - 96

2. Oky City -2 (4 units), the Thunder looked okay in the preseason with an improving Green and spark plug Westbrook leading the way. The bucks on the other hand are missing Bogut and still looking below par, having a back to back with being 0-8 L8 against the Thunder does not help. Look for a solid win for the City's new city as the fans should be very involved. Thunder 105 - 98

3. Hornets -5 (5 units), they should plain dominate a Baron/Ellis/Jackson less warriors and Posey will be a real contributer. The Hornets looked very good in the preseason and that should carry over in their opener. I expect this line to go up to -7+ by tip. Hornets 110 - 98 GLTA

All three of my picks have moved .5 overnight and i expect further line moves so do not wait to play till tip, if your interested.

I usually will post my picks the night before only in the beginning weeks of the season to take advantage of weaker lines, after that you want to wait up until tip for late lineup/injury/news info.

Hq...... thanks and cheers, only the sage hipsters know about ef or my influence @ the grove. We will make big Fed deposits this season!

i really like your hornets and phili pick, and think B2b for bucks is nice position for a Thunder win to begin their campaign, rough start for me but it's a marathon not a sprint, best of luck with your plays tonight and this season!!!

trkwrigh.... Thanks for that, I was thinking of Maggette who is questionable but wrote S Jackson. Anyways the Warriors are very thin @ point with CJ Watson out and undrafted rookie Demarcus Nelson getting the start against CPaul, huge mismatch. Marcus Williams will be backing him up so expect to see Jackson playing some point tonight. The line has moved to -6.5 and like I said last night, should reach -7+ by tip.

Late Play

Line update, Oky City now -4 and Warriors made projected -7.

Adding play #4, Jazz -4.5 1st Half (2 units). Look for the Jazz to come out firing hot, they were one of the better teams in pre and even without Williams should cover this. With Anthony's absence and a much stronger Jazz bench, the Jazz are the play.
