I like the Golden Eagles in this one. Virginia is baaaaad. They've got nothing going for them right now at all and only put up 14 in each of their games. Virgina is also coming down to Hattiesburg which should be a good atmosphere for USM. Groh better some things straight or he will get the boot pretty soon.
Guys I know Southern Miss football better than anyone on this site. They are a top 25 team. They just havent gotten credit yet. However it wont come until they upset Kansas next week. USM is holding back until the first real game of the season. Alcorn St, Central Fl, and Virginia? Give me a break. Why give it all out on the field when you know you can win just by a little and then bring it all to a Kansas team on week 4 when you are undefeated. Trust me if you want to win money take Virginia in this one. Especially if you can get 15 or higher. USM will not cover. Now next week will be a different story

Good point. Having Kansas on the schedule next week sets up a look ahead spot. The thing about UVA is that EVERYONE knows how bad they've played in the first two games. I believe the books have adjusted the line to the public perception on this game. UVA is a good play here. Sewell did lead them to a nice season two years ago. Groh always finds a way to keep his job, right when you're about to count him out.

Southern miss football is pretty much my life, I think we win and could cover but I personally would stay away from this game. By no means do I think we are looking ahead to Kansas bc its not everyday we have an ACC team come to Hburg. To many other good games on the board.

southern miss should be putting the va. cavaliers on the smoker tommorow but something tells me they are gonna win and come just shy of the cover, like win by 10 to 13. still i wouldnt touch the cavs with a ten foot pole, they suck balls big time this year. this game is off limits for me.
