Those in New York, hotel recommendations...

I will be staying in New York the week of November 16th. My conference is near the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Can someone recommend a decent hotel in that area? Leaning towards the New Yorker (it's 4 blocks away) but not sure what else is near there?

Thoughts on the New Yorker and/or others?

Paramount Hotel Times Square New York very trendy if that is what you like
