Patriots -3 vs Panthers.......I came up with this dspread on my own, didn't see it anywhere.

I thought the team that could beat the undefeated Panthers were the Giants, that game came & went, & the Panthers are still standing tall.......don't see Atlanta or Tampa beating them.

Only team I see standing in Carolinas way is Seattle........the others Carolina can handle IMO.......the Patriots have been beat at home this season by Philly, go figure. NFL is tricky that way.

Patriots have 4 super bowl rings out of 8 trips.......Brady & Belichick have 4 rings out of 6 trips.

Panthers lost their only super bowl trip vs Patriots by 3 points in 2003 Ibelieve.

If the Panthers are undefeated at 18-0 going into the super bowl, & Patriots make it, this will be the most watched super bowl ever! And ppossibly the most bet super bowl.ever as well........

We would have the Panthers trying to make history, & the Patriots trying to stop the Panthers from doing something they couldn't do.

Can you imagine the storylines for 2 weeks ......insanity at its finest!

Panthers trying to go 19-0, first time in NFL history......Patriots trying to stop them from doing so.......Brady trying to be the first Qb to ever win 5 rings.

The NFL couldn't ask for a better matchup & the ratings would be thru the roof.

This matchup is truly what the NFL would love to have,.........but sometimes we don't always get what we want.

My head is hurting trying to figure out who I would bet on in this matchup........too difficult, & forget about trends in this matchup, throw them all out.

If we do get this matchup, we will have Brady vs Cam Newton.......Belichick vs Ron Rivera......talk about mismatches.......but the game is also played with 10 other players on offense, & 11 players on defense.......so, for a team to go 18-0 entering the super bowl, they've done something right, & these Panthers are & have been flying under the radar all year, no respect from Vegas.......they're only giving up -7 at Atlanta, a team they beat handily 38-0 two weeks ago..........

Do you guys remember the double digit spreads the Patriots were giving up late in their undefeated season? The Panthers should be double digit favs from here on out.

I do hope we get this matchup.........let's see what happens!

The Packers will take Carolina down ... If they can get past Seattle. More big - game experience. Packers aren't hitting now but they're priming for the playoffs.

Bol TCG.. Tracking the NFL playoff seeds, it's been 30 years since the top seeds went to 3 straight Super Bowls.

Very interesting........we hadn't seen 3 str favs win the Kentucky Derby since the 1970's ......but it finally happened.

But thanks for the post bro.......if Panthers lose a game in the regular season, then I can see them lose in the playoffs......but if they go.undefeated, I see them in the super bowl.

My writeup above isn't a prediction, its a analysis if both teams would get to the Superbowl.....how big of a matchup would it be for the NFL & for us fans.

No question would be huge.. Anything is possible brother, I'm fairly confident one of the two will go. My guy says Carolina gets in.

Good layout. I'd have to go with the seasoned Pats over the cocky Panthers in this matchup.

Best matchup ever if it happens? Debateable. One of the best? Sure.

Unfortunately many of us were not around to see the Ice Bowl, Joe Namath guarantee a victory, the Dolphins perfect season, or those great matchups with the Cowboys and the Steelers. All wonderful games and worthy of a mention as to the "best" Superbowl. And I suspect there's a Patriot fan or two out there that might say their matchup versus the Greatest Show on Turf, or a Broncos fan that thought the upset of Green Bay with Brett Favre was the best.

I also think there will be people (I'm not one of them) that will discount the Panthers because of their strength of schedule.

CG...sweet possibility, would be spectacular...
Tomorrow with the #'s, I'll give up the math...
If Seattle wins the remaining 2 games and hold either opponent to under 14 total points, they're in the bowl for the 3rd straight year.
They knock out Carolina along the way and face an afc team with a worse record in the big dance (who wins it)..that can only be Pitt or kc, especially if one of these 2 lose one of their remaining 2 games...
I'll post the specs tomorrow after work....
But I would love to see your scenario, that would definitely be spectacular, and as you say, be the biggest hyped sb in history.

GAME.

If Carolina can let the Giants come back the way they did I'd be very surprised to even see them in the Big Show!

32nd easiest schedule ? meaning the hardest or the easiest? Lol! I'm guessing you meant easiest , which would be the No. 1 easiest wouldn't it ? I'm confused. Lol.

I want to see how they respond after that historical meltdown last week.....at least they went down the field & scored a fg to win when needed.....they responded quite quickly, no OT needed.

Last time they had a similar meltdown was Monday night vs Colts, they responded by beating Gbay the following week.

Their wrs are terrible. None of them really requires double coverage. Miss Nelson obviously but OL isn't helping either. Team is good not great. No shot of them winning 3 in a row to get to SB. McC is not someone I would want making important decisions in win or go home game.
