this week's movies 4/25/03

taking under 21.5 million at -115. This movie has the most estimated theatre counts for this weekend at ~2300, but really not generating enough buzz, hype, etc. to make that much. The trailers show that it's some type of mystery/scary movie but doesn't portray any kind of story. Doesn't look too appealing to me.

haven't looked at it much, but I'm thinking Dreamcatcher is a good comparison here, it had less star power I suppose, and it only made about 15 million.

Too bad the maximum bet is 55, this one is way too easy. Where the hell did they come up with 21.5?

Assuming we're talking about IDENTITY here? Looks like an EASY under on Intertops. Is that the movie you are discussing?

How is it possible that the OVER is favored here. Not only does Identity open on only 2300 screens, it is rated R, not PG-13, and will be competing with Cancun and Confidence (Dustin hoffman). I'd be surprised if Identity breaks 15 million this weekend.

if i go see a movie this weekend it would be Identity...that cancuun movie will be a complete flop

Intertops does seem to offer good lines, but that $55 max. is a joke. I hope it'll give me some pocket change this weekend.

wow, intertops really offers and changes lines quick. They took off all movie lines for this weekend except Identity. +800 for under 13.9 million is a tasty looking one, but I think it should pull in a bit more than that. I'm estimating about 14.5-16.5 million. Hope some of you took under 21.5 million when they had it up.

don't forget Identity is rated R. Young kids can't go to it. Doesn't hurt to put $20 down on a +800 at Intertops when you get $160 back. Worth the risk, plus there is a great chance it won't go over 14.

the weekend estimates for Identity are ranging around 18 million. Anotha winna!!!!
