This third base umpire has cost the White Sox two runs. One yesterday and one today calling a ball that was foul fair.

Then he just called Swisher out on a check swing that wasn't even close. It's absolutely amazing. Would have had a lead off walk. Makes me think that this guy has an agenda.

That's his 4th obviously blown call of the series. Just terrible Umpiring.

I have never seen such a bad check swing strike 3 call in such a more important game in my life! He didnt even go half way around. Even the Minny announcer said it was a terrible call!

I don't even know what to say. Yesterday he called Gomez safe when he was clearly out on a pick off at 2nd base. Gomez scored and the White Sox lost 3-2.

Today bloop down the line that was foul. He was right on top of the call. He called it fair and it scored a run. It's now 6-6. Bobby Jenks giving up the game hurts but people say that you can't give up outs. Well this umpire has given them two runs in two games. Both close games.

I agree with the announcers when they said it makes no sense to not have elite umpires for a series that's this big.

Just a horrible call.

Why would you have an umpire this inexperienced working the biggest series of the year in the AL? He's absolutely screwed the White Sox in the series. The White Sox should still get it done because they're supposed to be the better team, but it's hard to give extra runs to a team as good as the Twins.

I don't know what to say. Demoralizing to say the least. Couldn't catch a break in the series and that's rough.

Hopefully the Twins will have a hangover. Congrats to all Twins fans and backers.

The foul ball that was called fair was a much more harmful call. Gave the Twins a run. It was a foul ball and you can't miss that call when you're right there.

Hell the White Sox had their best pitcher, and most clutch pitcher maybe in their franchises history, to the mound and he blew it. I wouldn't want anyone else on the mound but it just wasn't his day. This is only the second big game I've ever seen him blow in about 50 chances.

That series was fixed. Some awful calls. I put some of the blame on Ozzie though for not arguing some of the calls for one. If Ozzie would have got ejected maybe that could have fired his team up. Then putting Jenks in the game in the 8th inning. Jenks knew he was going to pitch 6 outs so he went up there looking to throw all strikes. He let two batters get hits on an 0-2 count.

Didn't want to throw the curve ball. Ozzie had nothing to do with the loss. No one else in the bullpen has been pitching well. The only two have been Thornton and Jenks. Jenks has been one of the best closers in baseball since 2005 and possibly the most clutch - outside of Mariano - so you have to go with him. He was the man Sox fans wanted on the mound but he just didn't get it done. Some of the calls in this series were horrific. Thing that didn't add up is the White Sox didn't get one of the calls. Every bad call in the series went against them. Bad luck? Probably, but you need to have a better crew for that series.

Officiating is killing sports. With the refs gambling in basketball, and the bonehead calls and non calls in football and now Umps in baseball playing favorites. It is so hard to be a fan these days. I for one believe officials should have to answer to the media just like players and coaches. If a player blows a game he is on Donnie Moore Suicide Watch. I wanna see some officials field more death threats and public humiliation.

Waahh. Funny that we saw things a little differently. I thought Slowie was getting squeezed all night. I thought he was hosing the Twins all night on balls and strikes. Cripes when Griffey was up I think if they put the ball on a tee and he didn't swing, the ump would call a ball. The White Sox were lucky to even be in the game.

You were given two runs by bad calls in the series. Then a terrible check swing call. How can you argue that? Jeeze I'm usually pretty good at not being biased and I thought the strike zone was fine. Both teams didn't get some calls and both teams did get some.

The unacceptable calls are the call at second yesterday and the bloop that was foul today.

And the check swing.
