Lol. How many next games werr the superbowl? Seeing this stat fly around but it is pointless. How ma y championship games ended with 40 pts by one team? Not many I can tell you that.

Can you tell me why you think this stat will make the pats play worse in today's game?

Go bug someone else. Watch and win.

Ok so you have 0 football knowledge then?

This is not research. Stop acting like it is. You are disrespecting people who actually look up things. Not a phony stat that is not even relevant to this game because it may be the first or second time ever that a team has scored 40+ in a championship game before the superbowl. So that 3-22 does not make sense and is very mis leading. You are a wannabe tout. Don't lie

I'm not defending anyone, as everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, however....

I'd say that a stat like this points to the fact that teams who play exceptionally well one week tend to regress the following week. This has been a long standing NFL handicapping tool which I doubt few would argue with.

I will never understand the vitriolic attitudes by so many folks on these forums. It simply makes no sense to me.

Best of luck to everyone today!

Understand this but what I said and what sunshine said has to do with THIS game. This game is different than any other game and what I asked was...

How many conference championship games haad one team score 40 pts? The stat is misleading because this is not the playoffs anymore. This is the superbowl. There is a bye week to prepapre for this game. So unless he is talking about 26 times in the superbowl....this stat means nothing.

If there was a logical football statement next to it I would say okay good luck. But dude is acting like the patriots scoring 45 pts is the reason they'll lose hahahhahaha

I have seen so many people post this stat around internet today and backing the Seahawks. Good luck man, but on the other side with the Pats. IMO a stat like this is meaningless when u are talking Super Bowl.

Yeah, like when the Bills rang up 50+ on the Raiders in the AFC Championship game and lost to the Giants in the SuperBowl

My way to disprove this in football terms is Seattle emptied their playbook to beat Greenbay. On the other hand the perception looks like New England is the sheep side becuz of the 45 pts and seattles 28. But the Patriots beat the colts on the ground and by having a great game plan for the colts passing game.

Pats did not empty their playbook in my opinion even though the score indicates that. But seattle did.
