It is phenomenal to see the way that the Rx has evolved as a community ... I wonder if Shrink ever envisioned something like this happening in a million years?

That's why I never mind the "off topic" posts, and am bemused by those that bitch about them. As long as they stay resonably segregated (i.e. politics in the politics forum, inanity in the Rubber Room, etc.) I don't see what the problem is.

Rob, do you mean like Wagertalk, after Stoney went away, and Hammertime left?

I think after stoney left wagertalk was still kind of good. mike should have never changed the format, it completely destroyed it. to this day I dont think I have laughed so hard in my life than watching everyone post at that site in 01 & 02

It was a funny and productive site from '98 to '01..then took a dive fast.

MicroBros mismanaged a good thing, as that site had a nice running start to wind up where it is today in the overall food chain.

I think there is room for improvement ! I'd like to see a new category called main, or general , or something. Then offshore could be offshore ! Offshore would get it's hits, and main would become the catchall. Threads about offshore only would be needed to moved, a lot at first, by mods, but it would catch on after time.

Too much is in offshore now, everybody puts everything there now, so it gets read ! It should have been done, long ago !

Doug, that subject has been much debated, I tend to agree with you. Who knows maybe with a very busy football season we may see something along those lines happen.

Isn't that what Bookie Talk and the RR do? I agree that there is too much off-topic in Offshore, but it's not because options don't exist -- it's because of disrespectful posters who can't sleep at night if their threads don't get a certain minimum view count, and mods who won't pull the trigger on canning the fúckers once and for all if they won't observe basic decorum.

I know I may be biassed, but overall, we have the best posters on any forum, and the proof rests in the number of people who post here , the number of threads, as well as the quality, compared to anywhere else...

Thanks to everyone who contributes

My tongue has sores on it. I just did a search to see all the times I mentioned this and this is what I came up with...although the recent reshuffling has improved things a lot.

I thinks there need to be less categories for the posting forums and they must be clearly define. You know one for serioius things one for fool around with jokes, one other one for each of the major sports like now but break up the catagories different.

I definitely think that the new year and the new ownership should bring some sort of restructuring to the posting forums. Catagories need to be eliminated and consolidated etc. I love the look of the RX's posting forums compared to all others but there needs to be some balance so that a thread does not hang and get no response. Thank you. How's my English?

I know. They ask for suggestions to make the Rx better and I keep making suggestion to reorganize the posting forums. there needs to be enough activity in each of the rooms so that a poster can get a reply in a minimal amount of time. Yet some things don't fall squarely in other categories. If I put this in rubber room I will have to wait a long time for response. Why you pick this one to say this Mr. Fresh. So manny other posts have no sport information. I started my new year early. I do not like Russian Vodka....BLEAHHHHH instead I prefer refined sophisticated taste of Grey Goose. It remind me of me. Ok EverFresh I have to go for a minute. My other post has information for sport. In particular the wrestle. You want to make wrestle with me?

Will. I do not mind when you moved my thread to rubber room. My tongue and lips is getting sore from saying we need to make different catagories in the forums. So this is last time I will say it. How come you never mail me Will. If you do do not worry we dont have to wrestle.

Borat moments to remember...

After admiring the size of the men in the showers Borat decides it is time to prove he is a man. He challenges a big lad to a wrestle. "You want to do a wrestle?". The big lad obviously doesn't really want to wrestle. Borat leaves him with little choice as he starts to grapple with him. Borat is easily pinned to the floor. Our Kazakhstani pretends to be hurt but then declares with a big smile, "I OK!!!". Borat then proceeds to start further wrestles, losing each time.

That's what stinks about having so many forums. The owner of the Rx needs to decide reach a happy medium. We need a variety of catagories but too many causes posts to languish and results in frustration for the poster. This is what happens in the lifespan of an Rx poster. They first start off just in the Rx section posting about sports then they get bored and start posting non sports stuff on the offshore forum. It's to be expected. The rubber room should be further up towards the top of the page in addition to maybe four main categories. If the forum is too busy then the post will quickly go to page 2 and you will get a limited number of responses. Does any moderator care to respond with something other than "we will look into it"?
