i wanted to bet the avs to win the cup this season - but there is NO WAY they will win it with aebischer in nets - NO WAY!
they know it - and so does the entire nhl. because of this - ANY team that has a decent goalie to trade will stick it to the avs and demand (and probably get) more than they should have.
before the season began - i made 3 O/U point total plays:
Ducks, NYR and Avs all UNDER their point totals.
the first 2 are as good as cashed now - while the chances of the avs topping 108.5 aren't very good with david a.
the only problem with getting "choke-jo" is that come playoff time - he SUCKS! i'd rather have aebischer in nets over "choke-jo" who is the biggest underachiever for a "top flight" goalie there is. if the avs somehow get stuck with "choke-jo" they are dead meat, too.

let's face it though it's not just the goalie here. the avs are struggling to get goals. these guys obviously don't work well together, at least not so far. it just goes to show their is alot to be said for chemistry and familiarity with one another. with the line up they have it shouldn't be too hard for the avs to keep up with other team. the avs are too laid back and other teams are looking to kick their ass to show they can beat all that talent. patrick roy where are you???
