They're on the brink of doing something very few teams have been able to stay this blistering hot for this long...40 games is about the limit for these torrid hot streaks in MLB history.
Eight games is alot to make up but not impossible, especially with the number of head to head games left. But I would not rate the Detroit pitching staff superior to the Twins. Detroit's staff started hot is getting worse as the season progress. Minnesota is going the opposite direction with their pitching staff. Minnesota has the best bullpen in the majors and they have a the best one two punch of any starting staff with the Lights Out Latin Lefties.
