Population was 90-100 when I grew up there from 1960-1978.

Great, great town.

Most famous for two things......

Bigfoot sightings in the late 70's and the Ottosen Orioles of the early 80's.

Amazing how fast things change.

Amazes me everytime I look back on things.

I think a lot of main streets looked like that during that time. Mine looks similar.

The Upper Midwest was a great place to grow up during that time. You could ride your bike all around town. You knew everyone who lived there. Good family values. Sports teams to cheer for and a good education system. Not to mention a good work ethic.

Holidays are special times in small towns like that. Special events and celebrations made those days seem almost magical. During the summer most towns had a summer celebration that most of the town would attend.
