Natrually the Horse to beat is Smarty Jones, unfortunately heavy favorite staus precludes any across board bets. That said - why not try an exacta box. I like SJ and shooter Eddington, with any luck Eddington will finish on top for a better price. I know most everyone is playing beat the favorite, good luck, just don't see it happening given distance and track conditions. Exacta Box 7-9 and hope for the price to get there.

Fellas, didnt mean to upset anyone with the predicted order of finish. I just felt like smarty jones would runaway with it. I Like to win a little money instead of giving it away against a great horse. I think we all know who the best horse is today........and will be the best horse at the Belmont. Unreal, and awesome what more can we say about Sir Smarty??

I do not understand when I hear this argument. The pool is so big, just betting the race properly becomes more important than picking the winner. On what average work day can the favorite win with two reasonable choices behind him and the super pay $40K like it did in the derby.
