This hurts me to even post this because I hate Belecheat and the Pats. All you hear is BRADY,BRADY BRADY!. Don't get me wrong, he is the best QB to ever play the game. (Although I still think MONTANA is).

But right now at Super bowl time and money time, The New England DEFENSE is playing outstanding!!!

Defense wins championships. NE is not GB. If Seattle falls behind they are not coming back against this unit.

The only way the Seattle wins is if they win the turnover battle.

I hope I am 100% wrong and I am pulling for SEATTLE but NEW ENGLANDS DEFENSE wins this game!!!!!

I'm leaning Seattle too, but I keep thinking Brady & Belichick can't lose 3 str super bowls (past 3) they have been to.

Also, Brady like you stated is right behind Montana as the best qbs ever to play the game.......if the Pats win this bowl, he cements his status as possibly the best.

Can Wilson & Pete beat Brady after beating Manning last year? That would be a great feat in itself to have beaten 2 of the best qbs ever to play the game in back to back super bowls.

Line opened at Seattle -3 & quickly fell to a Pk......some casinos in Vegas have Pats -1......IMO, this will go to Pats -3 by game time.

Possibly the safest bet is Under 48.5......I think both defenses shut down the offenses.

I still can't believe Eli Manning beat Brady & Belichick twice........that to me says that the Patriots can be beat in the bowl. We all know the whole world was on the Pats in both of those bowls.......will be an interesting 2 weeks leading up to the bowl.

Sherman's injury will be a key factor......he's getting an MRI.

Computer. I was thinking the same thing recently. How did the Giants beat them twice. Seattle has to play like last years superbowl and they could win. I think the pressure is on the Pats.

Russell Wilson and the SEA offense has been exposed by GB! They needed an onside kick and a fake FG end a red fuck up to win! Brady and Belichek aren't JOhn Fox! I too said if sea plays NE, I would play sea big big. However, after Watchin sea yesterday, can't back them.

NE money line is the play, they will be the dogs by game day.

unlike the Colts, I think Seattle does have a path to victory, they obviously can win this game

as well as the Pats can

I wish I had numbers on this, historical truth that is but it seems to me that the Defense ranked highest during Reg. Season has won the Super Bowl to an astonishingly high % and likely bumped that % up even more just looking at ATS covers. Which if we could get historical ATS/SU #'s on this might blow our collective minds. Seems to me my personal memory of..at least the last 15 Super Bowls might see the highest ranking DEF winning certainly 7/10 or 70%....thats how it feels to me anyway. Not unusual for that better defense to be getting points. BALT vs. SF 2 years back comes to mind, SEA last year....but I recall BALT best cuz I hit that HUGE on the ML.

Thats what I thought too, them 2 years back described in my above post re: BALT vs. SF. #1 and #4 defenses line 47 I even bought it UP to 49 which might have worked....had the NFL not cut the electricity at Halftime to keep viewership 2nd Half by halting the Blowout asshwhoopin BALT was putting on SF, giving the young bones of SF a chance to rest/regroup the old bones of BALT an opportunity to tighten up.

I swore I'd never bet another SuperBowl under again.

I'm a total "conspiracy theorist" on this now, I think the NFL demands a high scoring game which'll be what they get from here on out in SuperBowls.

Must say I am surprised the total is as high as it is. I expected 47. Appears I got an opener of 49 moved down to 48 with over that at -108 right now vs. -102 for the under. Others like me I guess pledging never to take UN in SB ever again locking in early the OV so as to remove temptation?

I wish you the best with whatever you decide on the total TCompG.

A whole lot less of the world was on that 2nd NYG+3 SU win than the first, thats for damn sure. I know that I could not believe what I was seeing with NYG+3 AGAIN in the 2nd NYG/NE SB and I along with many I know hammered the piss out of that line and we consider that line among the Top 10 hugest screwups Vegas ever made. That day they WERE giving away $$$.

I will never forget the moment I saw that line.

The team that was exposed was INDY. What a fraud! They beat Cinn with Mr. Choke and DEN with an injured Manning. Indy doesn't have a running game which was exposed against the Giants in October and their defense was so porous even the worst RB in the league would have run for 4.4 yds per carry. I'm not sure right now if NE is the play. Indy showed up with nothing while SEA after 5 turnovers won the game with some questionable play by GB and their coaching. GB was 3 of 14 on 3rd down conversions. I'll give credit to SEA "D" for holding them down but you have to admit there were some questionable play calling by GB. Towards the end I thought that the SEA "D" wore out GB. Both teams deserve to play in the SB. Despite their competition they both played one heck of a game. As of now, I would lean towards the defending champs only because they had tougher competition; however, it is difficult to go against Brady.

For me Super Bowls are easy now. Per my posts above from here on out I take the superior defense and the over. period end of conversation no mulling it over consider no thing whatsoever. Health of Richard Sherman's trying to creep into my mind along with a study of which defense would be "higher ranked" over their LAST 5 Games so I...as we humans do....am seeing small attacks on "discipline".

What I can say for sure is that, unfortunately, my action on this Super Bowl will be the smallest in quite a while unless I find a few amazing prop bets and I will likely be in for a dime on the length of the National Anthem....have yet to study that, I wait till about 3 days before the game so I can factor in the health of the singer, in the past weather conditions but this is in a dome basically, retractable roof but weather shouldn't factor in. IDINA MENZEL will sing the National Anthem this year. I have no clue who this even is...big part of my Anthem Capping is, of course, past Anthem performances under similar conditions, O/U record of Anthem Singer I'm afraid to even investigate this Idina Menzel cuz I fear she's never sung an anthem before. Maybe she is Johnny Football Menzel's Aunt, if so I think that supports an OVER play.

I should have added mid-paragraph up there that that dime play became likely a 2.5/10th of a dime play cuz I don't know who the hell Idina Menzel is. Carrie Underwood was easy...even though the over barely cashed by like 3/10 of a second or some crazy shyt....prolly not THAT close but it was exciting as hell.

...and we had ample past performance of anthems on Carrie. Plus Lang was on the Under.

Sherman's health is a big favor on Seattle's defense......altho I believe he will be okay within 2 weeks......

Its no surprise to me that when the Pats opened up at +3 (plus money) that everyone would bet it down, kind of a too good to be true.

Look at the Patriots record as a dog under Brady, pretty good.

The storylines will be big & abundant for this bowl. Both of these teams started out slow this season......heck, maybe the first 1/4 of the season isn't as important......if we go back & look at the past 10 years of the bowl.winner, they all started out with a mediocre result......

I guess what you want is to go into the playoffs as healthy as possible.

Why didn't GB notice that Sherman was hurting? You would think that the coaches, wide receivers, OC in the booth anyone on GB would notice and throw to Sherman's left side. GB mismanaged this game. Should have been up by at least another TD at the half.
Brandon Bostick only missed the onside kick. Don't hear anyone talking about Hawk missing his block allowing SEA to recover.

I heard several radio guys saying the Packers should fire their coach.....lol!

IMO, Gbays meltdown & the coaches ineffective methods to close out the game in the playoffs were as bad as when the Oilers were up 31-3 vs the Bills back in the day in the playoffs & lost 31-34 in the miraculous Bills come back.

Coaches should definitely be accountable for these meltdowns......

This "creeping in" of thought towards consideration of the 2 defenses rankings over the last 5 games is just an evil bad thing trying to make me waver and put me on New England. I hope you're right about Sherman, I think that you are but I know nothing about his injury and..honestly...after the peyton manning torn quad debacle I've very little confidence I'm gonna find out anything solid on his injury.

My biggest challenge right now is siding with the scenario that has Brady & Belichick losing yet another Super Bowl.

Thats a real tough outcome for me to support thus why I know already I ain't goin' big which sucks cuz pretty much "forever" I've gone big on the SuperBowl so my normal NFL seasonal routine is completely fugged up here. Maybe I derive solid helpful input from here on the forum though over the next 13 days and I can get blessed with some confidence though, hope is alive but it ain't robust.

I believe Lang is like 5-0 on his 150 dime plays.......he hit the Pats yesterday.

As for the anthem, no way can I bet on stuff like that or the coin toss......only way I would bet the coin toss is if I knew ahead of time the coin had heads or tails on both sides.

As for the total, with Sherman not being 100%, don't know yet, maybe both qbs have a field day?

IMO, its gonna be a 3 to 7 point win either way.......no way will we see a blowout like last year.

The injury thing also helped the Packers cover & almost won them.the game SU........the Lions had injuries going into the game vs Dallas & they covered.

Rodgers injury was a huge storyline for an entire week, & I fell for it.

Like you said, if there really are serious injuries, you might not hear about them until after the game has started.

I've been saying it the last few weeks, the way to beat NE is to hit Brady. E. Manning didn't beat NE, he played like crap, their defense won both of those games. Brady doesn't like to get hit, although to be fair most QB's don't, but he takes it to another level. Brady gets his panties all up in his vagina when he gets touched and knocked down.

He'll immediately run to the ref and complain. If you hit Brady it disrupts what NE does on offense.

If they don't, NE will win because Sea can't score on offense. I think the under should be the play in this game rather than a side.
