Dont want this to get lost in the shuffle, I posted this in the bad line thread.

"I have not read the entire thread, so if anyone else has said what I am about to say I apologize.

First of all Owen has a history of betting bad lines and does this for a living, he has the same sob story everytime a book cancels his wager on obvious errors. Run a search here or mayorwager on Owen or The Big O. This guy is not a regular customer and intentionally seeks out bad lines and tries to get away with it, this middle talk is pure b@llshit.

A game total of 125 the 1st half total is 59, the line was off by 9 pts in a halftime or equivelent to being off by 18pts, anyone that doesnt think this is an obvious bad line needs their head examined!!!!!!!!! Nice try owen by saying that in college hoops the 1st h total is not always half the game total, its ALWAYS less than half the game total. You make a living betting bad lines and you are a scumbag!!!!"

Owen your reply to me was put my money where my mouth is, well that would be very easy!

Run a search on Owen here and you will see his whole Pro% disaster about betting a bad line, also about 1.5 yrs ago there is a whole thread in Majo rWager about The Big O getting another bad line cancelled at Top of the World, anyone can run a search here or across the street to see who we are dealing with. Also in both those threads defending himself, he mentions how other books dont cancel bets on bad lines, he says where he bet one into Cascade but Lenny didnt cancel it. The guy is a proffesional scammer and notice the majority of his posts are about bad lines and bets being cancelelled, I think it happened at NAB also and now Olympic. Ball is in your court scammer.

Well lets see, in the past 2 yrs you bet a bad line(probably more than once) at Pro5, Top of the World, NAB, Olympic and Casacade(which wasnt canceled). Do you think there is a trend there?

My partner did indeed bet a bad line at tws and nab. It was 1.5 years ago and I'll be the 1st to admit it was wrong and I took the blame. Pro5 was the only one dealing the college total when I bet it. As for olympic and cascade...you can call em both urself and ask bout me.

Now lets tak about the present ..my offer still stands. Name 5 shops that a 3rd party like Peep will call and ask them bout my assistance in bad lines. For every positive feedback I get you pay me 10K for every negative I pay you 10K.. You pick the shops or have Peep or shrink pick them. You seem to have a hidden agenda against me and nothing would make me happier than beating you outta ur money :p

Chips, I don't know why you would call Owen a scumbag. He had a problem and he just posted it. He is just stating the facts and nothing but the facts. Give the guy credit he is sharp and the books should recognize. Hell if I had that opportunity, I probably would do something like that too. Olympic is a big business and if they don't want people to take shots at them, they should really double check their lines going out. But errors will happen because Olympic puts out the lines first and they have so many lines to deal with compared to Vegas. This is a tough situation because I can see both sides of the story. The line was obviously bad and Owen being so experienced probably knew it and nobody is going to argue that. I don't know what Owen bets, but 3000 seems like a huge amount and if that is what Owen bets normally on a game than the amount would be okay. But the rules in Olympic state that the readback is final so Owen does have a point too. What I think I would have done is talk to Spiros and try to get maybe a total of 63-64 since he said that if it would have been off by 4-5 he could book it. I guess after this incident Spiros is probably going to be more careful about his lines. In a way if I was Spiros, I probably wouldn't have paid Owen too, because that line was way too off. This will show Owen in the future and other people, don't bet lines that are way too off because even if you win, the book has a right to cancel the wager too, so there is no way you can really burn a book. Think of it this way, at least Spiros let you know about the cancellation beforehand. I'm sure there will be some books that will tell you after it's done. If you lose, you still have to pay and if you win they canel it on your ass. This is a lesson to be taught to everyone, don't bet obvious bad lines even if there are no other books to compare with them. An example of this would be in hoops. The favourite is giving 8 and the first half line is 1-2, normally the first half lines are half of the game or even more. This is definitely a bad line, but honestly I would take a chance on it anyways. But I would only wager a few hundred, not like 3 dimes. I think if it was a little small wager, there would have been a chance that Spiros would have booked it.

Smokey you may call me an idiot or a lyer or whatever you wanna call me but I did not know the line was bad since he was the only one to have it up and my local was 2.5 pts off his number. I did not do the math and dont feel I am required too. However now I will have to whenever betting a 1st half at spiro.
