Guys i was looking through my old threads and i saw this story and thought about "updating" you guys on this guy for what its worth.
I doubt he reads any forums so i am not scared he will see this, as i very well thought when this story occurred, my friend lets call him Max, was drawn back into this crazy world of gambling on sports, without money management skills.
I have not spoken to him for over a month and just got news from another friend that Max got back into a really really bad gambling streak.
His wife and two kids left him, as he lost EVERYTHING and i mean everything, plus he racked up a serious debt too
He has been getting professional help AKA rehab for the last few weeks, while his marriage and job are up in the air.
Its an extremely sad situation as his wife and two young kids are the most pure and innocent family members you can have, they deserved better and my heart goes out to them.
As for Max i really hope he can get back to the real world and never gamble again, but this stuff never leaves you. He is a great guy, but he is someone who is not responsible enough to shake off a 1K bad night, he escalates it to a 5K night and so on.
This is a real warning for me of what could happen if i take gambling too seriously and a warning for any other casual/daily but not life changing bettor
Dont mean to spoil all your day with this sad story, but i thought it was worth sharing, peace to all and heres hoping to a full recovery for Max and more importantly his wife and kids :drink:
