This game tonite reminds me of the Seattle and Tampa Bay Game few Sunday Nights Ago.

Just as Tampa Bay was controlling the whole game up to 5 minutes left, we see a backdoor from Seattle to screw it all up for everybody. Call me crazy, but im leaning on San Fran 1st Half and San Fran for the whole game, probably just playing a hundred dollars.

Actually, I think that this is different in that San Francisco has a much better chance of keeping it tight the whole game. Every one is writing off the game as if there was no point in SanFran showing up to play tonight. They are coming off a bye, and Singletary will NOT allow this team to quit, he is too disciplined and I believe he will become a very good coach in this league. Shaun Hill wasnt bad at all at the end of last season, and unlike JT OSullivan he will not turn the ball over constantly. I expect to Gore have a big game as well.

Arizona is not this unstoppable force who should be laying double digits in a divisional game in my opinion. Public is hammering Zona, and even more are teasing this down to 3-4, and I would honestly not be completely surprised to see Zona fail to cover even the tease.

Ok boys.. I have looked up the numbers! and suprise suprise.

I like the Cardinals! I am simply not sold on that idiot Mike singletary. Let that fool prove me wrong (and dropping your pants like a freakin idiot dont mean shit bubba)

Espn and all those idiots on the sports networks are talking like he is the second coming of Obama!!! (oops.. i thought i was done with the poli forum)...Bullshit!!! Mike is a complete idiot in charge of incompetents who are much worse at doing the job they are paid so much to do!

Lets us start with the fool in charge of the Niners offense. Mike Martz. total complete buffoon who doesnt know the value of a good run game, field position or doesnt even know the limitations of his QBs or players.

It would be enough if he had the talent to overlook such important things that some coaches will skate by on simply because their player's raw talent makes up for the coache's dumb decisions. But the niners are woefully lacking in such players.

Look at that hideous turn over margin. -10. Are you freaking kidding me? They have given up a whopping 34 sacks to opposing teams and you think they will cover 10 points tonight (really nine and a half at my book)

Some one once said you cant fix stupid. The whole niners squad as a whole is a bunch of stupid! and hiring a pompous blow hard to fix these issues will not help them one bit.

Take the Cards! They will take the lead and pile on the points because the cards are simply not built to sit on a huge lead. Once they jump ahead they dont know how to play ball control and simply know how to pile on the points.

Possibility of a backdoor cover is always there. But i would rather have my money on the team that may score 31 points rather than risk it on a team that may be luck to score even 10!

thats my final. Cards 31- Niners 10

How can you expect people to take you seriously when the beginning of your write-up starts like this? Its clear to me you've got some personal bias toward the Cardinals before doing anything close to handicapping this game. BOL on your pick. This is a division rival game and 10 points is a lot for any team to cover let alone the Cardinals.

As bad as you think the 49ers head coach is.. is as bad of a write-up for a game I have ever seen.. not that I didn't like the 49ers before reading this.. but rest assure this sense-less write-up just makes me like it even more! :missingte

They want to appear smart by taking the dog.

We just simply know that double-digit points or near that is alot for a division rival game.. let alone a double-digit spread for the Cardinals. Yea they have done some great things this season.. but they should not be laying double-digits to a division rival.. take it for what you think it is.. but don't come out here saying were trying to look smart..

Laying near-double digits in the NFC West really hasn't been a bad idea. Dating back to 2002 teams favoried by at least 9.5 against a divisional foe have a 27-20 ATS record, about 57 percent. When narrowing that search to only home favorites the rate climbs slightly to 23-17, about 58 percent.

In neither case are the results strong enough to be totally convincing, but they look good enough that it can't be written off as a dangerous bet without handicapping the particular matchup more closely.

The Arizona Cardinales have'nt had the opportunity to play on Monday nights in front of the home town fans very often during the past years (I can't remember the last time).

Maybe the MNF incentive factor will "kick-in" this evening; we shall see. Good lujck to all

The only thing that remotely makes sense to me about your post is the part about SF coming off the bye. Singletary made a fool out of himself in week 1, you expect me to believe that he has the respect of the team after pulling his pants down at halftime? Shaun Hill sucks...if you could show me some situations like these, I'd love to see them...until then, I'm riding the AZ train to the window...:cripwalk:

Courtesy of a fellow RXer (forgot who posted this so apologies!)
"One of my favorite Monday Night plays involves home teams returning off back-to-back road games. That's because, since 1980, teams in this situation are 54-36-1 ATS (against the spread) – or 60 percent ATS on the blind. But when you add one more factor, those numbers get even better.

Play on any NFL Monday night home team off back-to-back road games versus an opponent coming off a home game. When you follow that criteria, the record improves to 39-20-1 ATS. Better yet, make sure you are playing on a worthy team (win percentage greater than .400) and we improve those numbers to 32-13-1 ATS.

Best of all, put the worthy home team up against an opponent off a division home game and we soar to new heights, going 20-3-1 ATS.

Here is the list of teams that fall into this sweet spot this 2008 NFL season:
9/29 Pittsburgh, 10/13 Cleveland, 10/20 New England, 11/10 Arizona, 11/24 New Orleans, 12/1 Houston and 12/8 Chicago.

Mark down the dates now."

The first 3, this year: Pit, Cle and NE........

Week 4....Pitt-5 vs Bal, Pit wins 23-20, but ats loss

Week 6....Cle+8 vs NYG, Cle wins su 35-14. This was the game that rekindled my inerest.

Week 7.....NE-3 vs Den, NE wins 34-7

This week we have Arz-9.5 vs SF. I think Arz, playing at home will stomp SF. In their last 5 games SF's opponents have scored 34, 29, 40, 30 and 31. While scoring 13, 17, 26, 21 and 17.

In those 5 games, SF averages -14, a 2 td defecit!!! Scoring 18.8 and giving up 32.8.

Arz went into SL and whipped them 34-14, and SL is a better team than SF. This is the same SL team that in October, logged ats wins @ Was, vs Dal and @ NE, beating Dal and Was su.
