Here's a topic. I love how some of you guys post how shit would only happen online. Thats just not true. I have seen crazy ass shit everytime I go to the casino. What about the hand I posted about with after the flop of 3,3,3 Me (bb) ,sb and bb all had fullhouses. If this happened online you people would be screaming like mad.

How bout I played for about 6 hours and nobody at my table ever showed A's. My best starting hand was q,q.


So a good starting place would be what do you guys play (game, casino or online ? and what game do you prefer?



I only play live and 50-200 NL holdem.


Post some plays that you guys like to do. Post the craziest shit you have either done or saw done. Post about the biggest pot you ever won. Post about anything but asking for money. I'm sure Wil did not envision this tp be a room to trade money.

How bout I played for about 6 hours and nobody at my table ever showed A's. My best starting hand was q,q. 6 hours * 30 hands/hr = 180 hands. You should only see a hand better than QQ about once every 108 hands. So this isn't too atypical.

So a good starting place would be what do you guys play (game, casino or online ? and what game do you prefer? Mainly 1/2 and 2/5 NLHE, with the occasional 5/10 game. Lots of HU games with friends, and sometimes I play big online tourneys. I've cut back on the cards in the last year though because sportsbetting has taken most of my attention.

I'm sure Wil did not envision this tp be a room to trade money. The other night I was playing 1/2 at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana. A guy sat down at the table with $100 (min. buy-in) and was clearly scared to lose it. We all thought he'd be gone within a few rotations, but he got on a heater. He flopped set after set, and pretty soon he had $1000.

After about an hour, this hand came up: The guy with $1000 is in the BB, and the only player at the table that had him covered (he had about $1200) was in the SB. There was an Early Position raise by a guy with only about $40 left. It folded all the way around to the SB. SB must have forgotten there was someone left to act behind him, and said "All in." BB looks down at his cards and turns white. After about 2 minutes of deliberation I figured out what was going on. BB had Aces in the hole but the money meant sooo much to him he was afraid to call. Finally, after 5 minutes he called. The short stacker folded and we had a $2k+ pot preflop in a 1/2 game. BB turned over AA of course, and SB turned over KQ. Justice was served and the Aces held up. That guy looked like he had just won the lottery. The small blind just shook his head. That was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen happen at a game.

Limit can be a great time when you are hitting your draws and your big pairs are holding, it can suck bad when you miss everything and your big ones are gettin cracked

I think you know, I grind the 3-6 limit game. Well, today it took all of 30 minutes to lose my daily limit. At various positions on a loose table, get KK, AK, AQ, suited KQ, 10/10 and JJ...never hit a fucking thing and left, got out-flopped, or killed on 6th or 7th street...some days it brutal...

Yeah that sucks Cheap. Nice bankroll management for not trying to push it and going overboard.


Have you thought about giving NL a try. Its not what you might think. All Ins don't happen all the time. And you can push people off of pots.

I have not played limit since I was at Ballagio about 7 years ago.

Ok, here's a true story for you...Many years ago, when the first casino opened in Tucson, Az, I dealt poker as they were desperate for people and I knew the games.

On my 2nd or 3rd night, I was dealing 8/16, huge action game as people were so happy to be playing cards in Tucson.

So, one hand has about 6 people in to the river, and when I put down the river card (As), the guy in the 9 seat kinda nudges me. I ignore it as I'm trying to watch the action on the other side of the table (everyone was betting out of turn). He nudges me harder, I look over at him, he shows me his hole cards - As Qs. I'm thinking, ok, nice hand, but he points to the river...and it is the As!

So, I'm thinking, OH SHIT. Meanwhile people are betting and raising into a huge pot. So I hold up play and call the floorman, poor guy had has hands full with all these rookie dealers, but he was a LV verteran (and coke fiend) and generally did a good job.

So he gets to the table and I tell him what happened and he laughed, said he'd seen it before. Of course at some point in the game my arm brushed the As from deck 2 in my rack into the current deck.

After he makes the ruling (quick quiz - anyone know the rule here?), everyone stuck in the game was bitter that the deck may have been bad for X number of hands, etc. I think it was just that hand, people would have noticed the wrong color back in the game had I dealt the card out instead of putting it on the board....Needless to say, I was glad when the push finally came....

I play on-line hold em sit-n-goes exclusively, but for so little money it's embarresing considering what most of the posters on this site are gambling.

I'm cheaper than hell, but I love gambling. It's an odd mix.
