No, you are stupid for falling for the hype that it would be a great fight in the first place. Floyd is a safety first boxer and hatton grapples a ton. That is not 2 styles that make for great fights. Boxing is all about styles. Watch Rafael Marquez-Israel Vasquez I and II. Those guys will fight a 3rd time as well. they couldn't fight in a stinker if they tried to.

I don't doubt your opinion at all...I respect it. I have no opinion on boxing, as I don't watch the sport.

Just on pure observation, whenever a big marquee boxing match is hyped...I usually see threads like this...and my buddies usually say the same (boring fight, etc).

I'm a MMA fan...and last night they had a great show. I'm just surprised at the # of casual boxing fans haven't fully transitioned to MMA.

So tell me, how good was the last UFC? There's no need for a "transition", there's enough room for both. They show a hell of a lot more free boxing than there is free MMA. Like I said, this was not an exciting fight on paper. There's been some very good fights on HBO and Showtime this year though.

I don't completely agree with you, no. I didn't think the fight sucked, it was just average with a good ending. If you didn't fall for any kind of hype why did you watch it? People can hype up MMA ll they want to but the majority of it is on PPV and the last UFC PPV absolutely sucked. There is a lot more free boxing than free MMA.

I read Kermit's thread here about the fight so I put some money on it and watched it. The winner hit but the fight was boring. Both fighters were grabbing and holding and throwing in illegal punches and the ref was stopping the fight and lecturing them like it was fighting class 101. I expected more. Simple as that. No hype whatsoever though I know you find that hard to believe for some reason.
