Have a lock box that I keep in my dresser, and its about the size of a shoe box, andhas a combination lock built into it...keep little $$$$ there if you know what I mean. Girlfriends son asked last week to use my house to l"lay out and get some sun" as it is at a lake. Well ystrday when went to go get some $ out of the box I noticed that "someone" had tried to break in it. Very obvious as it was bent and the top looked like someone took a screwdriver and tried to pry it open !!! I opened it and nothing gone as it is a tough little sucker..This is her only son (18 yrs old and spoiled...never works but is going in Air Force in November) I know if tell her she'll say it wasn't him and maybe she might say it was one of his buddies that came over with him to sun...Have thought of taking to Police to get fingerprints off it and then will know and tell her.....I DO NOT WANT HIM TO GET AWAY WITH THIS....THOUGHTS?????

Good Question Jman...maybe just to show him he can't pull sh*t on me and other people???...like if he was my son I would want that to happen...if he thinks can get away with it will always try and pull stuff like that...wouldn't you want your son/daughter to get caught if they did something like that??? I know I would...certainly will be sorta glad to show her also...
Ask him honestly if he did it. If he denies it then get your fingerprints for proof. If they are his fingerprints then I say an eye for an eye. Take some of his favorite CD's out of his car and see how he likes that. Make sure he knows you did it by mentioning that you like the band "Three Doors Down" or whatever CD he listens too but don't mention anything else. Obviously give the CD's back at some point in time but leave him with the impression you will not tolerate someone stealing from you.
Jman...you hit the nail on the head when you said can't raise someones elses kids w/your standards...that was the big stumbling block in our relationship..saw how he was and how he sh*t on her all time and I couldn't keep mouth shut...well definitely think that next time he calls to "sun" the answer is no and will confront HIM then and not say anyhting to her...if says no will ask if I can have his fingerprints so he can prove to me he didn't do..if innocent will say OK... Not for nothing but ANY thief , not saying he is one would check your dresser first,lol! Find a different place to put the box and just be grateful it wasn't stolen and smashed opened!! If this kid really wanted to get in it would've been smashed open! Maybe his mom told him to try to get it opened to see what you are hiding??
