Department of Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson announced Monday the his agency has re-designated Syria for “Temporary Protected Status” through the end of March 2018.


“The extension allows TPS beneficiaries to retain TPS through March 31, 2018, so long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements for TPS,” DHS explained in an update to the Federal Register published Monday.

The special security tours not offered to any other group occurred at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport after Department of Homeland Security (DHS) roundtable meetings with local Somali leaders to obtain feedback for “modifications to practices that would allow for operations to be more culturally sensitive.”

Oil prices would have to skyrocket above $350 per barrel for electric vehicle makers to make a dent in the auto market, according to a study done by researchers at the University of Chicago.


The batteries for electric vehicles cost, on average, about $325 per kWh, which means the price of oil would need to pitch upward by nearly 1,000 percent before Tesla’s auto fleet and the Nissan Leaf would be cheaper than gas-powered vehicles.

The father justified his actions to The Observer, saying he could not afford to feed his family and now had the added benefit of one less mouth to feed. The father also claimed he had secured a promise from the imam that he would not have sex with the girl until she turned 18.

The paper has an agenda to call for a carbon tax. It underestimates the improvement in components because of that.

Those numbers are way off in regards to cost parity of LI-ion batteries and oil prices because they want to push for the tax.
