Can someone expain why when the bomb Eli threw last night was picked off during the second quarter, there was a late hit out of bounds and upon further review by the refs, the play was ruled down by contact and therefore the 15 yd late hit would have never occured if the play was rules dead and instead it gave the Colts another 15 yds not that it would have mattered much but just thought since there would have been no runback on the pick off how could the 15 yds be tacted on.

Collinsworth and Michaels never commented on the extra 15 after the play had been ruled down by contact and the Colts came onto the field and started their possession 15 yds to the better which resulted in a FG. Also this was before New York had several Defensive Players hurt so maybe just maybe they would have held Indy and the FG would not have happened. I am theorizing all of this because anyone who had a NO 3 Straight Scores By Either Team Prop Bet Got Srewed all because the refs added on another critical critical 15 yds at that juncture of the football game.

Can we merge this thread with the "Is Randy Moss the Best Football Player of All Time" thread? Then lock it?

I think the penalty was tacked on because the play continued on as if he was not down and a late hit occured so therefor the penalty still gets tacked on even though it technically should never have happened.
