Hi JOH,

When can we expect lines for the missing games? I notice from the lines posted for today that we are using lines from when you are posting, and not the OL. Can I assume that will always be the case?

I will try my best to get the OTB lines from overnight up the next morning sometime after 10:30 EST. I'm on the road in the am and usually back by then but running a little late this week. Bear with me.

Something to consider....a past-posted pick is graded a loss and posting an incorrect security code is graded no action.

Seems to me both infractions are pretty equal. Would it be better to have the same penalty?

If a poster erroneously puts a wrong security code and his pick loses, he benefits by escaping that loss despite making a "mistake", so I guess my suggestion is to make both penalties "no action" since past-posting usually comes down to the final seconds on differing clock times and the user is forced to make a difficult decision on whether to try submitting his picks to get them in or skip it altogether to avoid automatic losses if he doesn't know the accurate "system" clock time.

Couple other things,

The deadline to post plays will be 7:00:59 pm EST every day.
All plays must be in at least 5 minutes prior to earliest scheduled start time of your pick set.
(Google Time Stamp will serve as time of post). All past-posted plays will be graded a loss.

This needs to be clarified. So, the deadline is 5 minutes before the first game on the schedule. The Dallas/OKC game last night had a listed starting time of 5:00 PT. So, if a game has a 7:00 ET start, the deadline wouldn't be 7:00 ET then, it would be 6:55 ET if the statement in red is followed, correct? (Listing everything in the same time zone might avoid some confusion too.)

Also, if someone misses a few days due to some unforeseen problem and cannot make exactly 12 plays that week, I suggest grading the remaining games needed to reach 12 as -100 losses. For example, if a player only has 10 picks, add two losses for -200 instead of disqualifying them completely. At least gives him a chance to continue, especially if the reason he didn't reach 12 picks was something out of his control like a blizzard knocking out his internet for several days.

Just some thoughts....

I think all plays short of 12 should be graded a loss (-110). I don't see a need to disqualify anyone regardless of circumstance

The point of the security code was to prevent outsiders from posting plays in the name of a contestant. Can't penalize someone if that happens. Whether it was an imposter or the actual poster, is not for me to judge. "no action" seems fine here.

As for the "no action" on late posting, we could use the time of the late post as a guideline. If it's within 10 minutes of the start time, "no action". Any later than 10 minutes would be a loss.

I can work with you guys here...

What I said was All plays must be in at least 5 minutes prior to earliest scheduled start time of your pick set. Any games that start before or at 7pm would fall in the 5 minutes prior category. The 7pm ET deadline would take precedence only if there are games scheduled AFTER 7pm. In your example, the Dal/OKC start time was 8pm ET, not 7. The games are listed in PST because that's Pinnacle. As for the other times posted, work it out. Not rocket science.

Good point on the lack of plays. We will go with a loss of -110 for any plays short of 12.

Just hit F5 (refresh). Sometimes takes up to 5 minutes to show up. No need to keep submitting.
