Are there no monthy prizes this year? If I remember correctly there was to keep those with a bad start interested etc. Just wondering. I'll be transfering money once I figure out how.

there are no monthlies this year unfortunatly. But it is still very much a +ev proposstion considering the extra 20% from betjam.

If we had had more interest and entries to now, there would have been a monthly.

Disappointing to see so few signed up so far. I think we had 20+ last year.

If I may make a suggestion, maybe it would make sense to START the contest as scheduled on 5/1 but keep entries open for some time after that. There is no advantage to signing up late......but there may be quite a few here who are struggling with the 5/1 deadline (um...myself included).

I agree that starting the contest later would just cause people to further delay postnig up......but if the contest actually STARTS, that will likely get the stragglers moving.

My source to get money into BetJam is not available this time...so unless someone can transfer money into BJ if I overnight it to them it looks like WW is out as well

That was a near deal-breaker for me. I really was hoping for the monthlies so that we can enjoy something "on the side" during this long season. I think it's because I haven't been lucky in any contests (and this is a post-up contest to boot), but that I would probably have some runs in some months to be in contention for a monthly prize.

I now doubt I can participate at all since I'm nearly out of funds at BetJam unless the Paradise Loyalty bets that I asked them via e-mail today would be enough to post-up for this contest.

I probably will just begin to post my posts in the Baseball forum instead. I'll cheer for all of you registered contestants for a great contest this summer. Good luck everyone!

Its kind of like a catch 22 Calvin, you see, if we had had 20 entries PLUS, then I am sure that Betjam would have thrown in the monthly fee, however, with only few entries so far, it is difficult for them (and I completely understand) to do so.
