Reno offers far better value for a serious gambler than either Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe; the atmosphere is quite a bit lacking.

............if you have a car and have a little time(40 minute drive), take a ride up to MT. CHARELSTON, one of my favorite things to do living in Las Vegas, go numerous times a year(and Red Rock also). RRed Rock will be to hot in August, but MT.CHAR will be perfect, 72-82 degrees.

I have friends who used to live in Vegas and they suggested we all go up to Mt. Charleston. I took a picture of my thermometer in my truck at the bottom of the hill and it was at 103. When we got up to Mt. Charleston it was in the 60's and raining.

The Springs Preserve is a nice free nature walk if you like that.

I've also been in the Atomic Testing Museum which is very interesting to those of us who grew up in the era of fearing the bomb.

Gunness World Record Museum. - Admission is only like $6.50

Wet-N-Wild Water Park just opened.

Kiss mini-golf over by the Hard Rock Hotel.

Hofbrauhaus is always fun but can be expensive.

Neon Sign museum.

Outside of the attractions at casinos which were listed can anyone post where the other attractions are by number. Curious about #1 and for grins #11

There are hundreds and hundreds of great restaurants in the city, and most tourists do nothing more than eat at buffet's and tourist traps on the strip like Harlay Davidson Café or something similar.
