Wise choice their early pitchers kinda suck, and they do tend towards scoring lots of runs, sorta means overs, in particular first five overs, they get better pitching after 3.1- 4.2 innings from their crappy starting rotation, when the bullpen takes over

Bad to awful starting pitching combined with a potential, but right heavy lineup, means first five overs against lefties !
They are vulnerable to a top right-handed ace like a Verlander sort any guy that makes 28 million a year, stands 6'5" tall and sleeps with Kate Upton has my respect.
That is what will beat them in the playoffs, a right handed super ace, they have nothing to counter with
In fact I would go the opposite direction if I were the manager and throw my worst starter against a Verlander almost conceding a playoff game and use my best starter ( German, Tanaka, Severino ? ) , In a game I might have a chance to win
Picking up a couple of decent rented arms will come at a steep price with less than 49 hours to go, and this is a hard deadline, not soft like before
CC could be done for his career, I wouldn't really count on Severino returning to Ace status, he is still almost a rookie.
Clint Frazier is certainly tradeable, he's a major league hitter but totally cock-blocked as to an outfield position on this team, it would be best for him to go anywhere else, I like him, but he's very expendable,not sure what else Cashman might be willing to part with, but I don't see them getting a Bumgardener type of guy or a Mets Ace.

I know you know this, but don't count those BoSox out this 8 game lead can diminish real quick if they "cruise" too much. Still a lot of season left it's a little early to be cruising IMO. Getting solid pitching tonight "so far"....they can score 3 runs in a heartbeat if they try. This rookie pitcher going for Zona is nothing special, but they've never seen him that's the issue. Hopefully 3rd or 4th time around they can put something together
Hell yes, Jack...8 games up is not a lock in July, Ray's came close to making it like 3 a few weeks ago but blew that chance.
If the Yanks stand Pat, I can easily see this AL East race being within 5 games at the end of season with the 3 teams in the division. I'm a Yankee's fan, but I want this to get super close, to make it interesting, especially if they do nothing !

Well , I think you could say he's got that that good guy image, you can't give him Jeter's 20 years of service at a tough position, just yet, but he has that quality about him. Both men are half Black.
Judge is a better fielder, Jeter never really played his position that well. I think Judge will adapt and become a borderline Hall of Fame type player, only missing because of his late start in the big leagues
He can put up numbers like a .300 batting average, 40 + HR, 100 + RBI, lots of outfield assists, and do nothing wrong publicallly.
He will be the next Captain. I'm pretty sure he could the ads of anybody on the team, as well !

Stanton is just one of those guys that got his big payday and is gliding into his retirement, judge is for real, I'm buying his Jeter- like squeaky clean image until some serious dirt comes out saying he's not Mr. Clean, I want him to be that guy, but also know nobody is that freaking clean ! So far , he is as clean as can be, and does everything right !
I hope he continues that way, and I wish I was that damn perfect !
