The WORST Summer Ever In Mpls/St Paul

110 heat index for days & days now. Can't stand it. I'll take -10 any day at least you can get warm. People say "what can you do when it's so cold"? As much or more than when it's 110/115 EVERY day w/humidity, ala Dallas. We don't go out when the WC is -50, no more than when it's +130 heat index. San Diego, SF, & Seattle have only had a TOTAL of 10 days over 80 since june 1st. That's heaven to me. Supposed to ease up by the wkend, at least we get that. As you can tell, venting time for this old man!!hno:

This is the norm where I live. Try being outside in it most of the time - the other day was the first time I have ever seriously thought I was going to suffer a heat stroke.

silver, I was in the Upper Midwest last week so I know what you're going through. I flew into Vegas later in the week and would rather have 103 there than 93 in the Midwest.

I have to disagree with you about the cold though. You NEVER get warm for 6 months out of the year because you can't put your thermostat up or your heating bill will be astronomical. No matter how many clothes you wear the drafts will get to you and the wind is painful no matter how short of a time you are outside.

Q, true winter & -50WC is not pleasant. But for this Iron Ranger, I can take it better than this, yesterday we hit an all time record w/82 dew point. BTW I wouldn't live in the deep South, i.e. Miss, Al, Ga, etc for anything. My ideal is the WC, SD, SF, Seattle, don't mind the rain. "Different strokes etc"! Now I COULD lie on a beach somewhere and just roll into the water every 10 mins or so. Need a "Honey" to push me now tho.<><>

I rather have the cold than the heat. I wear shorts year round, even when its 20 degrees outside. The cold doesnt bother my legs but I do wear double & triple layers on top. I love winter!
