MJ in his prime, or the current MJ who is 40+ years old and carrying some extra weight?
Even if they could school MJ, so what? There are thousands of street-ballers who could school guys in the NBA, but that doesn't mean they are better players. Playing one-on-one is a small part of the overall game.
My friend works @ Gund Arena. Back when the Rockers existed, they would sometimes practice against the employees of Gund Arena. But there were so many rules about what the guys could/couldn't do. Couldn't take a charge, couldn't drive to the basket, etc.
Obviously, some of the rules were designed to prevent the Rockers from getting hurt. But those rules also illustrate why women can't effectively compete against men. When it comes to skills such as shooting, lots of women are better than men. But they simply don't have the combination of speed/power/quickness that men have. They'd get killed on the offensive/defensive boards, they couldn't stop anybody driving to the basket, and they'd RARELY be able to create their own shot. Imagine if they were guarded by Ron Artest.
On a related note, can we PLEASE get rid of the WNBA players during NBA All-Star Weekend? Just another attempt by Stern to shove the WNBA down America's throat.
I'll admit, Stern has done an amazing job with the NBA during his 20 years (being there for Bird/Magic/Jordan certainly didn't hurt). But he is basically the Britney Spears of pro sports. He'll do anything to make money and appease the general public, regardless if he ruins the true game.
