Well, I still think there'd be solid participation in the bracket-style even if the prize was only a polo shirt...because you're also fighting for bragging rights.
If the RX wanted to spruce it up a little, they could throw in some other free gear from some sportsbooks or something, hats, pens, t-shirts, etc.
But either way, I think the brackets would be way better, get more people involved, be more fun, etc.
I like a bracket format too but it should be like the world cup and not like the NCAA's.

Top 2 from each group advance
In your group of 4 you play each member once if there is a tie best W/L record would be the tiebreaker and if the W/L record is the same then there should be a mini playoff between the two posters to see who advances
So basically the round of 32 would take 3 weeks to finish that way everyone atleast gets 3 weeks in.
Then round of 16 would be 1st place from group A would take on 2nd place from group B and so on
The whole contest would last 7 weeks which isn't too bad and covers the heart of the NFL season plus NBA/NHL/CFB/CBB/EPL (Yes im tiring to sneak the EPL in there)
