I've debated this topic with many people over the years. Does it agitate anyone else on here when fans refer to their favorite teams as "we".

Personally, I don't and have not played for this or any high level sports team so I will not refer to the team as we. Maybe I am the only one...

In college sports, boosters can absolutely say "we". They help pay for the program, including coaches salaries.

In pro spirts, maybe not, but it doesnt bother me

It actually does irritate me...especially when coming out the mouths of Alabama fans who have never stepped foot in Tuscaloosa.

I agree Willie, boosters can definitely say we. I guess my objection to it is listening to local sports radio, and hearing fans call in and say, "If WE did this, or if WE beat (insert team) we have a good chance to make the playoffs..."

That or I am annoyed its Monday.
