Does it bother anyone besides me that we pay our NBA All-Stars gazillions of dollars for them to stay home during the Olympics?

Yet, we have millions of other Americans who VOLUNTEER their LIVES to serve our country and these high priced babies can't even sacrifice a few WEEKS of their time to compete in something that they get paid handsomely to do?

What is right with this scenario?

Absolutely nothing!!!

It is dispicable and clearly a disgrace!!!

IMO the Olympics are for amateur athletes. The U.S.A has already proven over and over that they produce the best basketball players, big deal. I'd much rather watch a bunch of hard working college & high school kids busting their ass competing for their country. Instead we get a buch of overpaid, unappreciative, under achieving, crybabies.

One thing is to produce best players, one thing is to produce the best basketball TEAM...

The NBA players only care about themselves and at this moment the US is not the best team out there.

Sometimes I believe some NBA players don’t want to play International because they are afraid to lose and because of that they will lose also their “image” in the US market...

I think maybe they should go with college kids.

We wouldn't be very competitive but what the hell at least they would want to be there.

I don't think its fair to have the players that played in the NBA Finals play in the Olympics but the rest of the players should be eligible.
