Wow, Miami is a contender. We'll know for sure in the next two weeks, but if Miami beats Va Tech, and a very overrated OU, they'll be in the top 5, for sure.

And by the way, Sam Bradford will not be playing yet.

Those are two HUGE if's. Both VT and Oklahoma are head and shoulders better than the two teams they have beat so far.

Miami might be the best team in the ACC, but lets wait a little while before calling them a NC contender. They have a road win vs an average Fla St team, and a home win vs a GT team that hasn't looked good in any game this year

I don't know if I would consider them in the race this year. But next year they have a real good shot as long as they don't lose half of their team to the draft.

They SHOULD be in the Top 10 next week. Will they? Probably not. But they are a DAMN good football team. Physical as fuck. Solid QB who makes good decisions, and have 2 RB's that lower their shoulder and are shifty.

They will roll VaTech, VaTech is year in and year out the most over rated team in the country.

Oklahoma w/o Bradford is not better than FSU at all.

VT? Eh, VT looked bad against Bama.

They are a tough.

They WR core is something out of fantasy. The height on those WR's and TE is going to be almost impossible to defend. That 6'8 TE could be a huge play makers because there are few LB, SS, FS that will be able to defend him.

The O line look way above avg. The QB is showing NFL type skills. Dam he is calm with a strong arm.

The d fence is good but are they top 5 material?

The weak point of this team is the kick team. You can not let a top team start on the 40 yd line.

It is going to fun to watch the Canes this year and I hope they keep making me money. I expect the bandwangon to jump on them now after this huge win.

snuff the run like that and learn to get more pressure on qb in throwing downs, this team can beat vtech, and give oklahoma all they can handle down there in the U.

Please. I like them, but two games against ok teams don't make them a championship contender. Maybe an ACC favorite.

They've beaten two ACC teams. Sorry, but until proved otherwise, that doesn't mean much

I think the U can win VT and OU, but they really need to shape up kickoff coverage and play better pass D.

Tech was outlplayed in the Clemson game despite winning. so they got some breaks on special teams and some big plays early
Florida State hasn't done much

Conclusion, The U" has beaten two teams that beat Jacksonville State and one of them (Florida State) struggled to do that

They win AT Blacksburg then I'll be more impressed plus I want to see what Florida State does against BYU,

This team was extremely close to being 1-1 if Ponder throws the ball inches higher. That is part of the skepticism I have on this team. Jacory Harris did look good and he has a great pocket presence. He avoided the rush smoothly and almost effortlessly while looking downfield and throwing passes with great touch. We'll see how good Free Shoes is when they play at BYU. This will then tell us more about Miami's win.

AT BEST....they split the next two games...

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here....they have indeed looked very good...but they didn't beat the FSU of the 90's and as far as GT is concerned...vastly overrated...The difference with PJ's system while at Navy is most of his opponents didn't have the personnel year to year to combat the option....different story in the ACC...teams like Miami, Clemson, FSU, VaTech have the horses to adjust from year to year against that system...plus they have the talent...
