more. Aside from James the Cavs are not good at all. Maybe less than mediocre. Talent wins in the NBA. John Calipiri said it: "In the NBA if your three best players are better than the other teams three best players, you are going to win." Guess what that is true for the most part. The cavs do not have an all star besides James. That is ridiculous. They have no business being in the finals aside from having James. As far as James. If you cannot see his incredible talent and how good he is then you really do not understand NBA hoops very well. The comparisons to Jordan are silly. Jordan is a scorer. Period. James is a cross between Bird/Magic and Jordan. IF Magic or Bird (two of the greatest players in NBA history with NBA Championship rings, MVPS, Finals MVPS, Gold medals, NCAa finals appearancs, many all star appearances, all star game MVP's...I could go on) were in this same spot, you know what would happen? The same thing. Neither one could score all the points being the only real player on the court and carry the team with the defense totally gearing to them. It would not happen every game like James needs to do. Neither one of them had that style anyway. Both have that great ability, just like James, to be great passers and put your team in great postion to succeed. They score their share but could not score the vast majority. James played a heck of a game. He is not God and no one is. He passed up a few open jump shots (Magic was a shaky shooter when he first entered the league and Bird did not have great athletic abiltiy to keep scoring). James toyed with Bowen. James drove on him at will and passed once he got help. The Cavs lousy team missed wide open shots all game. James is going to get better. A lot better and that is scary. How about giving James, Pippen right now? You know how much better the Cavs would be? He needs a legitimate all star. James is incredible. He rebounds, passes, scores, and controls the game with his great ability at only 22 years of age. I can understand the frustration because in the heat of the moment you are seeing the Cavs not get it done. Lets be real here, however. James is truly one of the great ones at 22. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I urge you to be smart and fair. There will always be negative people who put players down and like to start trouble, think they are smarter than everyone else, are too demanding etc etc....but lets be real here. The fact is the Cavs are less than mediocre aside from James and that lebron himself is a great great player who has carried his team to great achievments but is going against a team with multiple all stars. Mismatch. Don't overreact to it, just understand it.

for the most part i agree but here are some things i strongly disagree with...

1] don't make james a GREAT passer, he is not

2]james played a great game.....what the hell were you watching? he had open shots that he didn't want to take, late in the game he missed back to back to back layups and had his stupid turnovers again

3]james toyed with bowen....and you claim you know basketball, what the hell were you watching

4]james may be great down the road but lets not put him in that league yet. he had one great game and alot of good games.

What up lapdance? Everyone has a right to their own opinion. James is not a great passer? Nuff said. I rest my case here and now. Wow!

The easiest way to make a point without actually having a point
is to say "you don't know basketball and I do" ...

just feel like cleveland is like the nets

under pressure its such a damn struggle to score points

hard to win, on the other side San Antonio can play defence or outscore you if they have too

hopefully next season is more interesting.

Brady , very nice writeup , I agree with you 100 %. Its more than evident after watching the last 3 games , Cavs are overmatched. Lebron cant save them this time , the better team is winning. Lebron will get his chances in the future , but he will not be winning this series. Spurs deserve everything they get ..

Malone, Shaq, Kobe

vs

Wallace, Prince, Billups

Malone was a liability that whole series at both ends ... If Malone was in his prime , he would have dominated Wallace easilly ... But he wasnt , and he didnt.

It is true Dub. When Larry Brown left that team has never been the same since. That coach Saunders is an idiot and the team is clueless. No way should Cleveland be able to beat them and last year very close as well.

The reality is the Cavs have a decent team at best - they will not be in finals next year - and they are totally outclassed by SA - they got to the finals by default - NJ and Washington - need I eloborate? - James is the 3rd best player in his draft class and somewhere among the top 15 players in the league - he scored 48 one night - it was a fluke - and he was crowned Jordan - well, the dust has settle and he's back to David Robinson which ain't too bad - and for people saying he had 25 points last night - he had 5 turnovers and shot 39% - and that's his big playoff performance against SA - based on performance - he's the 4th best player on the court - he's so young so one day I would imagine he becomes great for real and not for all the media hype BS - like Nike says - we're all witnesses.

Being awful harsh. No chance in hell Parker, Duncan or Ginobli would be having the impact on the playoffs bron has had with that surrounding cast. Once again it appears yet another poster overlooking the fact that his presence makes everyone else's job so remarkably easy, yet they still cannot get it done.

Malone was hobbled by knee injury and did not even dress for game 5.
If you know Malones track record, it had to be a serious injury for Malone not to play. A 100% Malone and that series may have gone the limit.

I agree with T. Brady's opening statement. The Cavs very easily could have won game 3. If Gibson had scored like he has shown he is capable of during postseason, instead of pulling a L. Hughes look a like scoring performance, Cavs most likely would have won. Going into series, I had Spurs winning 4-1 with Cavs winning gm3.

The reality is that at this point, LeBron's nothing incredibly special. The only thing that you can truly make a case for in that he's "special" is his freakish athleticism.

I don't even think he's worthy enough (at least yet) to be compared to Jordan, Bird, Magic.

I stopped making comparisons of him to Jordan, b/c I realized that they are indeed different types of players. But what separates Jordan, Bird, Magic, etc from Lebron is that those guys were incredibly good/almost unstoppable at what they do, i.e., their specialties.

Jordan had the post-up fade-aways late in his career, Bird could penetrate or had the jumpshots down, Magic was one of the greatest passers ever.

But exactly what is LeBron's specialty? His well-built frame does allow him to drive to the basket more often than not, but you can't even call that his specialty b/c he doesn't "dominate" in that area as of now. And he definitely ain't no jump shooter.

So get off his cock. As for me, I take LeBron for what he is right now. He's young, he's got talent, he can do amazing slam dunks, that's about it.
