I would agree until discipline is learned and one doesn't bet beyond his means. Laying a wager when you know it will hurt you if it loses is very stressful most certainly.

I'm sure if there was an actual study done, there would be evidence of a problem. I've been a Tampa Bay Bucs fan since I was 7, and I have always joked that if they had done a study through the years on life~long Bucs fans, they would find they live a shorter life~span.

What about even when we win, I go to bed wired ...Sometimes I can`t even sleep after watching football from saturday 11 am to sunday night 12 pm...How do I unwind you ask, I usually watch ESPN and look at old highlights ! I wouldn`t have it any other way, FOOTBALL IS FUKING KING!

agreed, not to brag but i am a very succesfull gambler(mid 6 figures last year) and 5 straight winning seasons and gambling has given me a lot of material things(house, car, etc) but even for me the stress level is ridiculous, i have lost alot of my everyday social skills and have broken up or been broken up with more than 20 girls in the last 5 years. as much as i love a winning bet some times makes i wonder why i was happier 5 years ago when i lived at my parents house and had nothing than now that i have everything.

Overall, I find it to be very healthy. Much less stress than a real job.

I agree with General

Win or lose You have to learn to keep your emotions in check.

You have to have a stomach for this lifestyle or you will sure enough get ulcers.

I think that if you can be very confident in your capping skills then "whats to worry about"
you should come out on top. bad beats go hand in hand with games you won but should have lost.
