Nearly 18 months later, they became one of six people to adopt one of the dogs. The process included a home visit by caseworkers, an extended visit to the southwest Utah sanctuary, home monitoring by a dog trainer and a six-month probation period.
pathetic. adopting a child has less hoops to jump through. i'll say it once and i'll say it again. people care more about animals then humans in this country. if you see a story like this involving a dog you will get more emotional and upset then you would if you read a story about people being murdered in the middle of the night.
Not true partner. The process to adopt a child is very expensive not to mention could take 1-3 years. There is so much paperwork and background conducted that you'd be amazed. I've never adopted but I know others that have and they've told me the process is long and grueling.
