1 Unit: AUB -14 @ SCAR (-115)

Favorite heavy card so far, liking some strong teams this week.

1 Unit: AKR -1 @ BALL (-105)

Akron backup QB has a couple of games under his belt now, and he's not a huge drop off from the injured starter.

Ha, just went to a pick...oh well.

Week #8 results & season totals. Bankroll +18.48% with an average bet size of 0.81 units. Last week was a bit spewy, I ended up playing more marginal value lines than usual, and it didn't pay off. I also had a few plays where I really should have seen beyond the numbers and laid off, lol. The 2 unit plays went 3-0, and I was up 5.81 units for the week, so all the other plays added up to -.19 units, lol. Good cover bets, I guess, hehe. I'm filtering the plays hopefully a bit more this week. It can be a tough balance between pouncing on opening lines versus analyzing borderline plays to see if they're really worth playing with the risk of the line moving against you during further analysis. I think a key component of good handicapping is anticipating which lines that you like aren't in danger of moving, and occasionally which lines will actually improve during the week.

1/2 unit: TTU +21 @ TCU

Slim value play by the numbers, but with TTU's passing game finally playing above average they should put up enough scores to cover. TCU playing very well right now, though...
