Viva El Espagna...
Well,
It is GREAT to be back home finally. Perhaps the biggest surprise for me was not the bull-fighting, but rather watching the Flaminco dancing.
I had a blast observing the men and women moving their feet and toes faster than you could ever imagine...
Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca are great cities to visit.
I dare say that the highlight of my trip was going to the WORLD'S NUMBER 1
restaurant near Roses, Spain named El Bulli. I had a 26 course meal at this place and it takes 18 months to 2 years just to get a reservation there, no matter WHO you are or know....
It is located high up on a mountain top, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I would strongly recommend hiring a taxi as we did because one wrong turn and you are over the side of the mountain.
The Chef is somewhat of a chemist, too. The snorting of champaigne mixed with God knows what and the numbing of my entire palate and tongue occurred regularly...
I really don't know how to ever really explain what I went through at this dinner except to say that it is actually worth travelling all the way to SPAIN just to eat at this amazing restaurant!!!!
My wife couldn't believe that I could go so long without gambling or posting either, so I had to prove her wrong and win our bet, lol...
Finally, to my great satisfaction, smoking is permitted everywhere...
