glaken,

Please feel free to call me by my first name, as I have been called worse, lol..

I hope we can meet one day since we have a few things in common...

And of course I know Everybody's Pizza since it is so close to Emory. I thought everybody did..

Gosh, it's been so long since I lived in Hotlanta but the memories I have are good ones...

Are the Pleasant Peasant restaurants still there?

I loved them as well...

the red sox will win this game. suppan is horrid go look at his numbers. pedro threw 95 in the yankees game.

anyone who has seen suppan pitch knows he is god awful. if there are any red sox fans in this thread you saw him pitch for us last year in the AL and he got killed. he is king of giving up the long ball, go look at his HR numbers. he is even worse at home than on the road, so that kills the they are at home theory.

the pub is all over the cards once again and the pub is 0-2 so far.

go ahead and bet st.louis, but i warned you.

favoring suppan over pedro is like favoring razor rudduck over lennox lewis

No Ken, The Peasant Group broke up in 1998 and alot of the GM's got together and bought some properties...like Dailey's and The Micks at Perimeter and Midtown. Elan's closed but Doug McKendrick still has the Piano Bar ( I think). Buckhead has gone Hip-Hop and a crime-zone....Pano Karatosis is still the man with several new restaurants with the Buckhead - Life Restaurant Group. 103 West is now a private party spot....look forward to meeting you.G

We laugh about it now...when I met him at FSU I had boots and a cowboy hat on..he was thinking ("Oh Sh*t)...now I see him all the time as he lives close by...23 years later. I guess your 34 and holding, too.

OMT,Thankyou for responding, there would of been a lot of money bet on the Cardinals by some of the posters, just because Shrink and Fishhead loved it.Some would of bet money they cant afford.Even I was ready to bet the Cards, and I decided to read the rest of the page.I read what you said, agreed and backed off.

These MODS know that when they start a thread like this, certain people will bet crazy amounts of dollars on there recomendation and that doesnt bother them win or lose. They think its funny, and they love seeing how many posts it receives.
Everyone GOOD LUCK tomorrow, Im not playing the game. But I WILL be rooting for Boston. Why becouse OLD MAN TED has a couple $$ on them.

I will be rooting for Boston too, even though I have a financial interest in the Cards.

Greenhead,

This is the FIRST time and quite possibly the last time that FISHHEAD and I have gone on record together with a ballgame...

I have always preached stringent bankroll management and discipline whenever we talk about sports betting...

For you to imply otherwise is ignorant of my beliefs...

shame on you both, learn a little humility. Both of you are sharp and well respected, but much too often blow your own horn (specifically Fishhead).

As Vince Lombardi told his players when they reached the end zone for a touchdown, "son, act like you've been there before".

Fish your probably right.....all I can say is this...I will personally look into this game for all....I only mentioned it because the line moved so much in 24 hours...give me 48 and I will have the scoop.

if it werent for a few lucky plays suppan wouldnt have even beat houston. the sox are much more the juggernaut than the astros

everytime i say this to myself it sounds dumber and dumber : "jeff suppan and the cards will beat pedro martinez and the red sox"

the -119 is good to draw equal action, but drawing equal action aside suppan should be a +150 home dog

The media takes many things out of context.

ps- I am bi-polar by the way.

Lots of excellent points made on this thread. I have been a huge Pedro fan since he was on the Dodgers. He just doesn't look like the same Pedro I have been accustomed to seeing over the past few years. I see Pedro's stock dropping so to speak, and Suppan's rising. I guess the linesmakers do too or the Cards would not be favored...

I am getting sleepy...

Best of Luck,

you guys are thinking about the 2 runs pedro gave up in yanks game 7 way too much. pedro didnt warm up properly, once he was in rythym he mowed down the last 2 yanks batters and tossed 95 mph gas. he might not pitch a gem, but he will get it done. look at what he did to the angels.

Can't we ALL just get along?!!

I laid the run and a half at +170 today at Oly. Whether or not this is going to come through is another story. Boston has been a very poor hitting team on the road this year. They did open up on the Yankees at the end of that series but for the most part their numbers on the road are appalling (vs the numbers at Fenway). Pedro is a great pitcher but I think he has shown some kinks in the armor this season. His slight regression may be the window St. Louis needs to build some confidence. I wouldn't be shocked to see St. Louis take the next two games.

Hope you guys nail it with plenty of room to spare (for obvious reasons). ;)

The Cards may be bunting more tommorrow.

You have a guy thinking about 3 errors from the last game at 3B and at the other corner a guy who hasnt played 1b for weeks.

Plus, the CARDS are a smart baseball club.

Love the CARDS in this spot.
