I have no problem with him being suspended by the Company. They are a private business and they can fire anyone for any reason they want assuming it isn't a violation of a protected class situation.
What it illustrates, however, is the nature of leftists. They will do everything they can to shut down debate of ideas. EVERYTHING they can. while you argue a player can be suspended because he spoke out and that's not in the best interest of his employer, you don't take the same position with respect to the protesters
I'm going to suggest employers can take the same position with respect to the protesters, who one can clearly argue have damaged their employers as much as, if not more than, the people who spoke out about them

I had a friend who was a police officer that was killed in the line of duty several years ago. They still do several events in his honor every year and police officers from all around typically attend. This past weekend they had an event and nearly every officer who showed up was wearing those socks.
Sure I do. If a protester says inflammatory things on social media, someone in the company reads it and complains to HR, the company will act in their best interests.
If I own a company, I don't care what side a person is on. If they make my company shine in a bad light potentially costing me money, they are gone.
Let me set one thing straight. The first amendment does not apply because these are actions by private companies. However, the problem that I have is that the companies (MLB, NFL) are allowing one type of speech and conduct and banning another. As I said before, it will be up to the fans to decide how they are going to handle it. As much as I like sports, I will stick to my principles over sports and say fuck you MLB and fuck you NFL. Look, the NFL ratings are already down close to 10%. If this bs keeps up, their ratings may continue to drop. I know many people that don't like what they are seeing.
