Hey All,

My name is Jay and I'll be around the forums to help answer any questions you might have. In response to some of your questions:

Keith,

BetBug is targeted towards the North American market. As far as Gamebookers, we are in the process of removing our US customer base and won't be taking US clients anymore.

Santo,

We have no affiliation with Trident Poker. At present our only gaming companies are BetBug and Gamebookers.

About us, we're now well into our 2nd season and are very happy with our growth. We've only now begun to seriously market the product so the likelihood is that you will begin to see us at more and more places. As far as limits, there are individuals who we know who make markets on BetBug. Those limits will continuosly go up over time but there is nothing stopping people from submitting their own orders (and more and more are). Keep in mind too that lines can be bet as many times as there is an offer and we know that the people who help make markets will always get offers up for clients to bet on.

Thanks all for your comments. If you have any questions for me please feel free to post them here or contact me directly at jason@betbug.com. I'm over in Europe with Gamebookers until next Tuesday but I will do my best to help answer any of your questions.

Thanks to all the mods here also. Look forward to working with you.

Have you given any consideration to net market position? This is a big factor with P2P exchanges..

For example say on Monday I bet $1000 on Army -2.5 -105. By Friday the line had moved to Army -2.5 +110. I want to lock in a profit. Would this free up my funds as I now can't lose on the market? Would I be charged 5% on both bets, or only on my net position?

Looks good if you bet over $1,000, but bad if under $500. 5% commission , capped at $20 on winners.
How about >500 AND <1000?

Thanks for the kind welcome guys.

Santo,

Our payment provider deals with very strict regulations being in the Isle of Man. As a result they are forced under "Know Your Customer" laws to ask for certain info.
In regards to commission, you would be charged on any win amount and not your net position. 3 years ago when we were designing the product we thought long and hard about this. We decided to go with a $20 cap but as a result we just could not offer the cap in conjunction with a commission structure based on net win. The numbers just didn't work and as a result our tech team built the product according to those specs.

Gambler,

We are building an xml feed for a couple of portals that we are going to advertise on soon but its not ready yet. Should be live by the end of the year.

Have to head out but will check in later. Good luck tonight all.

Jay

Missed your post Stinger...PayP2P has had little if any problems processing all credit cards. Thanks for the question.

RoyalFan, as far as I know the BetBug site is operatonal. Are you talking about link or something else?

Doug, it's BetBug, not bedbug.:lolBIG:

Thanks, wil..

Site was down for me when I posted that. It works fine now though. Stupid post by me. Should have waited to see if it was just a few minute problem or a long one before posting that. My apologies.

Betfair are subject to KYC regulations in the UK, but they accepted a passport scan with middle numbers blocked out (Identity fraud protection)...

Even with the 5% comission on both bets, will any funds be freed up by betting both sides?
