I am so glad that I live in a country which makes aggressive effort to feed people who are hungry.

Also good to see MichelleO representing.

Not for sure, but I'm thinking the closest LauraB ever got to a kitchen in a homeless shelter was when she had the Secret Service drivers stop at a nearby KwikMart so she could reup her supply of Marlboro Lights.

Cool....Good to see LauraB representing as well. Though it appears it took some kind of natural disaster to get her involved....heh

(note to self....Quit ranking on the exFirstLady and contribute some volunteer time myself this month at the mission in downtown Clearwater...)

HFan, I think it's almost to the point where us middle aged stodgies are going to want to get into the smartphone age.

Not for purposes of Twittering or non-stop texting, but simply to put us in more constant touch with the ever growing cyber marketplace - both in commerce and in ideas.

The current billing system of MonthlyFees will gradually recede into more flat rate service costs, just as cell phones and internet service in general have done over the past decade.

Notice that the only time you see a politician or their spouse at a public service facility is when there is a camera close at hand.

Why should that be a news flash. lol Liberals think they have all the answers but I do not hear any of them explaining how the country will pay off the 11.5 Trillion dollars being run up by Obama and company now?

I do not see any instant employment surge that was espewed during the coronation either. Must be a glitch in the telepromptor.

Good shit. how do you have the balls to bust that phone out in line looking for a free handout? I was in Wrigleyville yesterday after the Twins/Cubs game at the Central having a few beers and this very pitiful looking man came up to us on the sidewalk (we were in the bar but it was open), he shook his cup of change at us and said please help. Ten minutes later this same guy was across the street walking and looking at his cell phone. I heard some of these panhandlers actually do pretty well. I'll see if I can dig up the news report that showed this.

Brother, it's 2009

Obtaining a cell phone requires as little as $50, with further payments - in many cases - founded solely on the amount of use.

Much, much easier than getting a land line - especially for someone with an unstable or non-existent fixed address.
