I see you whiners still can't accept the fact you were on wrong side of that Super Bowl. No flags on Steelers because they committed none to call never enters into your slanted views. Phanton h:nopityA
ld my ass..It was holding clear as day. The travesty was that Hawks were even in the Super Bowl as they would have ranked behind Bengals, Colts and Broncos who all were beat on the road prior to their SB Victory. Seabags nothing but pretenders from a patheticallyh weak division(just like this year) and were exposed as such.
If you re-read my post you will see I was just reporting what happened during the game and what was said by a large number of fans after it was over. I did not lose money on that particular game and the truth be known could not have cared less which team won the game.
I was simply pointing out that a member of Mike Carey's crew, Mark Perlman, who by coincidence wears the #9, the same # as legendary NFL referee Jerry Markbreit, also was involved in the Steelers/Seahawks Super Bowl controversy. So I posted about it to enhance the discussion.
Mike Carey is an excellent referee but that does not automatically make his crew all of a sudden the best officials availabe at their various positions. If this crew is a mixed crew then that is a different story but I was under the impression that the NFL did not break up crews for the post season (even the SB) to create so called All Star officiating crews.
My post was meant to just enhance the discussion on the topic about the team chosen to work the game - nothing more. I am not even passing judgement on Perlman's call personally.
In fact I have never been a "the game was fixed believer". I do however believe that some officials - just like players, can choke in big games and really hope this does not happen this year in either the conference finals or the SB..
