Meanwhile, Tim Wakefield goes on the DL, John Smoltz is likely at any moment one pitch away from same place and are they still paying DiceK?

Does the arrival of Adam LaRoche and Chris Duncan signify the End of Big Papi in Boston??

So many questions surround what is fast becoming the third place team in the AL East

Red Sox are an old team. I saw Papi get thrown out by a mile in that second game in Texas trying to get a double. Smoltz should be retired. Dice K got hurt playing for Japan in the WBC. Varitek got schooled today as they were stealing bases like crazy on him.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan and even I realize this team is done. They won't even make the playoffs. They're old and they're slow. Both the Yankees and the Rays are much better teams. A large part of the blame goes to the person or people that let Dice K pitch in that ridiculous World Baseball Classic. If I were an owner or general manager, I would put a clause in any player's contract that forbids them from playing in that joke of an event.
