you have a 3 run lead and you blow it with a inning that you let up 4 runs. this team was trying to get above 500 for the first time this season and they blew it.

this team was 18-11 in their last 29 games and didnt pick up a single game on the braves or mets.

they are going to the same place they have been for the past 10 years come october, to the friggin golf course. :monsters-they stink.

I Understand Werth Was Crazy Today With 2 Hr's But As A Philly Fan, Ill Tell U, They Dont Win When They Put This Lineup On The Field.

i am a mets fan. im telling u the phillies blow. i dont care if ur mother is batting 5th. manuel dont even know how to make a double switch. he stinks. and so does the team. i live in philly and find it funny how you so called die hard fans call up 610 every day and cry about this team and that they are coming around and this and that.

fact is, they are an avg team at best and ryan howard will be lucky to hit 40 homers this season. take it to the bank

trains - you couldnt have said it better. but old zeke over here thinks that uncle charlie knows what hes doing. meanwhile the poor bastard dont even know how to make a double switch. he almost blew the game sunday by slotting myers in the pitchers spot instead of double changing with the guy making the last out. he brings myers in to close the 8th and then makes him bat. i mean wat if he gets hit and breaks his hand there. the phillies fans would have shot manuel. the guy is just a moron, and the sad part is jimmy williams and the other bench coaches they brought in must be just as stupid.

The Phillies secret ownership does everything half assed. They could have had Jerry Hunsicker and Jim Leyland but they want management that doesn't mind finishing second. Don't question anything or stir things up and their happy. Gillick got reamed by Montgomery for criticizing the middle of the line-ups' production. Make nice and be quiet. That's what ownership wants.

Fire Charlie

He is just bad bad bad. I know he looks like a good guy, but we need to get some sort of winning attytude in Philadelphia. this city is plagued with a losers mentality and year after year it brings their teams down. Like everyone said, Charlie can't even do a double switch.

Get a "winner" of a coach in there. Have them play to win every day, learn how to bunt and keep teaching fundamentals. The team has a lot of young, decent/good players, and a few could be studs (even you Burrel if you learn to keep your head out of your a$$).

I'd even take Geary/Gordon/Meyers as my pen once Gordon gets healthy (if ever). They just need to get a better mentality (like Rollins was saying early) of go out to win every day.

BUT STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRE CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!!!

and whoever said Gillick is an idiot...please. The guy is one of the better GM's in the league. Look at his track record.

well imnot gonna sit here and bash this team.....simply cause it isnt warranted.

manuel isnt the best, but this team is right at 500, and never starts the season quickly. im happy they are at 500 now, and not below as they usually are.

consider this.....The mets were the best tesam in Nl last year and won 95ish games (dont know exactly).

the cardinals won the world series at 83 regular season wins. The Phillies have finished each of the last 3 years between 83-88 wins, they are competitve, and thats alot more than we could say going back to 1993 and mitch williams and joe carters homer in the series.

If u arent a fan, root for somebody else, but if u cant see progress, then u arent looking at this team with unbiased eyes, no one wins every game, and they arent usually even at 500 at this point in the season, and have done well to get there.

as far as howard goes, his injury is problematic, but to be honest, he doesnt need 40 homers for this team to make the playoffs, if he hits 30 the rest of the way, from the 4 hole, rowand and victorino are showing theat they can be relied on along with utley and rollins. That nucleus will get them alot of 3-0 leads early in the game.
hamels, eaton, moyer, garcia are all either performing well or improving with each outing. there is nothing to worry about with this team.

i didnt say i know what hes doing, but i can guarantee u 100% (especially after u said uw ere a mets fan) that u r posting this info here because u bet money on the phillies and are whining because u lost your bet in a game you probably shoudl have won considering score,situation, and how well hamels was pitching.

Gillick is one of the best GM,s ever....Charlie on the other hand is not the sharpest tack in the nail shed....My beloved Phils are just a couple of players short from the promised land, one stable middle reliever and a stud third baseman....when the Yankees stop hating AROD, Philly would welcome him with open arms....

The Phillies had a great series against the Braves. You cannot forget about the piss poor games they played against the fish. No one who watched the games will ever forget the boneheaded plays the phillies and the coaching staff made.
