You guys have to read this garbage from Langatang this morning
Lang Note:
This is the way it should be.
It's been a hell of a party here in South Beach. Been up all night partying with friends and it feels great to be the toast of the town once again.
I know deep in my heart I should have never lost a super bowl period but to win this one based on all that has happened this football season makes it a bit more special.
It was 2 years ago with the Saints and Colts where I told my wife 4 days before the game you can't give the #1 offense in the NFL (Saints) more than a field goal on a neutral field.
She said so you are going with the Saints and I said nope, I can't go against the Colts because of my feelings for the Colts owner Jim Irsay.
Having been his regular caddy at Riviera my last year there I just couldn't go against the guy who treated me so well even though I knew the Saints were the right side.
And for the first time in my career I lost my objectiveness in the super bowl and it cost me dearly.
Last year I was on Green Bay for 12 days and even spent 2 hours writing up my analysis only to switch to Pittsburgh 30 minutes before posting it for reasons I will keep to myself.
And I will go to my grave saying if they tackle Jennings on the 3rd and 11 with just over 5 minutes to go at his own 30 the game ends on 3 and not 6.
However it is what it is.
I knew without a doubt this game was a winner. I wouldn't have made it a 200 dime play, the 2nd largest super bowl pick ever if I wasn't 100% sure it was a winner.
As soon as the match up was set, I was locked into the Giants and my wife will be the first to tell you she had never seen me so relaxed the 2 weeks leading up the game.
And trust me folks, the game should have been a Giants double digit blowout win.
Am I a little disappointed in the fact there weren't more points? Absolutely but let me touch on a couple of things.
Perspective: The New York Giants had 8 possessions in the game and all 8 possessions ended with them in Patriots territory. They crossed midfield every single time.
Perspective: You don't win super bowls with the 2nd worst defense in the NFL. It can't happen. It didn't happen. End of story.
Here is how dialed in I was with this 200 dime super bowl winner cashing in every single prop bet.
Perspective: Coin toss Heads.
Perspective: National Anthem Under
Perspective: First TD scored would be Victor Cruz (+850).
Perspective: Gave you Eli Manning MVP (+175).
Perspective: 18-2-2 for my career.
Perspective: Once again proving to the world I am the greatest super bowl handicapper on the planet earth and it's best if you never doubt me with this game.
I can't even begin to tell you how many people came to my site, rolled with me on the biggest game of the year and were a huge winner because of it.
I stick by my statement earlier this year that the Brady/Belichick dynasty is over. It's done. They will never win another super bowl together. Not in my lifetime.
They shouldn't have beaten the Rams. Lucky to beat the Panthers. McNabb handed them the Eagles super bowl.
The Patriots are an over-hyped public media machine that beats up on bad teams in the regular season and struggles to cover numbers in the playoffs and super bowl.
Word to the wise: New England is now 0-4 ATS in the 4 super bowls they have been favored.
Going to get some sleep. One more great night in South Beach. Dinner at Mortons. Cocktails at the Fountainbleu afterwards. Possible mansion party after.
Life is pretty darn good after you move to 18-2-2 for your career with the biggest game of the year every year.
Enjoy your Monday everybody.
