Well the line was at 6 when Ridge posted the play and the rule usually is bet a favorite early and a dog late. The line dropped on Langer late, that's why he takes a loss. As for the fade I'm sure some people who bet late won with -5 or -5.5 but I graded it at -6.

OMG, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I almost forgot, November is "Catch Langer in a Lie Month". I'll start off. Feel free to pile on. Langer always mentions how he was asked to try out for the UNLV basketball team in their heyday and he was just days from the tryout when he hurt his knee. First off he didn't even start for his rinky dink high school basketball team. We have talked to UNLV coaches including head coach Jerry Tarkanian and people who knew Langer back then and not one person can verify his claim. The guy doesn't even think his lies all the way through. OK let's say someone asked him to try out who we haven't contacted? The reason his lie doesn't pan out and is one of thousands of lies he has told. He never attended UNLV. In fact he never attended college. You can't play college basketball if you never enrolled in college. End of story. Feel free to add a lie Langer has told either on radio, TV, in one of his rants online or in an e mail you received.

Catch Langer in a Lie Month

In addition to the info I provided below we have also confirmed Langer was NOT the youngest Master Helmsman on the USS New Jersey. I contacted members who served during his time on the ship and they said he was a nobody. You can contact USS New Jersey alumni here, http://www.ussnewjersey.com/log_ntry.htm amongst other places. Lang's military records are on their way and once in hand the truth will be revealed about Langer. We all know he probably swabbed the decks and swallowed pole.

Your comment made me laugh so hard. Reason is, two days ago I spoke with this guy named Ty Gaston who used to be on Stu's Sports Advisors TV shows in addition to many others and is still in the biz. Well Ty was happy to talk about Brandon Link and did not have very many nice things to say about him (or Stu for that matter) and was talking about how Brandon once told him (and others) that the way he got out of the Navy early was by saying he was gay. So maybe he was on his knees while on that radio show.

After speaking with Ty I called a buddy of mine here in DC and he told me that military records are a matter of public record and that I could obtain Brandon Links service history easily. I think I might just do that. Well a buddy of mine knows Tark from the Tarkanian Basketball Academy and Jerry told him he recalls no such meeting that Brandon talks about in his book taking place.
