Well, my bid for a 5th straight 100 dime winner came up short as the Twins on the Run Line win, but not by 2 runs in their 5-4 win over the Royals.

Had a bad feeling after Odorizzi gave up a 2-run homer in the top of the 1st it was going to be a struggle and that is exactly what it was.

Odorizzi gave up more runs yesterday (4) in 4 innings than he had in his last 8 starts spanning 47 2/3 innings.

Bottom line: Every single break I got in last week's 6-1 week has gone against me in this 0-5 run.

Does it suck coming off winning week #5 in a row and a monster winning week at that, sure it does.

Fuc@#%$%ing Disappointed? Absolutely but as I have said here a million times over the last 13 years, winning streaks and losing streaks come hand in hand.

No matter how good you think you are, you pick games every single day you are going to have some great runs and some bad runs.

You look at the small picture of this week it's not good, you look at the overall body of work from the last 6 weeks, pretty damn good.

Let's make it a 2nd straight winning day tonight.

Well, nice to see a pitcher and a team do what I handicapped them to do last night as Lance Lynn and the Rangers dominate Cleveland 7-2.

I said in my analysis Lynn would dominate at home the way he had all year and Clevinger would struggle making his first start in over 60 days.

Well, Lynn went 7 innings allowing 1 earned on 6 hits while Clevinger lasted 4 2/3 innings allowing 5 earned with 3 walks, showing he was as rusty as I said he would be.

Listen, am I disappointed I came up short in my pursuit of winning week #6 in a row? Absolutely, but I will take 5 of 6 winning week runs for the rest of my career.

Now it's time to build off last night's 25 dime winner and make it 2 straight winning days and have a massive bounce back week.
