Loser Lang's Write Up
NOTE:
It's time to step up and deliver the big one.
It's all fine and dandy hitting 5 straight 75 dime winners and most certainly any of those winners could have been a 100 dime play.
However, as impressive as it has been hitting all 5 of those it's even more impressive 4 of them have been underdogs that won the game outright.
Which brings me to this one game tonight.
I have watched this Bobcat bunch all year long. Watched them as close as any team I have watched all year.
Last week I almost used them at Buffalo as an underdog and I didn't and then proceeded to watch them go in there and win the game outright.
Then on Sunday I almost used them at home against the best team in the league and I didn't and then watched them blow out Akron wire to wire.
And as soon as the lines came out last night and I saw they were a small road dog here against Kent I knew the time to release them was tonight.
Folks, the bottom line is the time to release this huge winner is the last day of February. I have done nothing but build the bankroll all month long for this one selection here.
Yes, win or lose it will be a winning month but trust me, this game is not going to lose tonight.
It's the right side. It's the right situation. It's the right line. It's the right winner.
Now here are some more reasons why Ohio takes care of Kent State tonight.
ANALYSIS
They are simply the best road underdog in the country right now bar none.
Going back to last year the Ohio Bobcats have been a road underdog 12 times and have cashed the winning ticket an incredible 11 out of those 12 times.
They were perfect last year going 7-0 ATS when getting points and this year the 5 times they have gotten points they have paid 4 out of the 5.
Let's start with catching +19 at Louisville losing by 5, catching 7 at Marshall and winning outright by 2, catching 6 at Northern Iowa and winning outright by 17.
They failed at Akron catching +3 and losing by 5 but came back at Buffalo catching +3 and winning wire to wire 88-77.
All things considered, since their loss at Eastern Michigan on February 11th they have reeled off 4 in a row SU and ATS.
The most impressive thing about this 4 game winning streak is their last 2 games were against arguably 2 of the best 4 teams in this league in Buffalo and Akron.
They handled Buffalo easily on the road but the Akron win shows me just how good this experienced team is playing right now as they complete dominated the Zips leading by as much as 33 in the 2nd half.
As for Kent, they come off back to back road losses at Miami/Ohio by 2 laying 2 and Bowling Green by 16 as a 2-point road dog.
In fact, they are in the midst of a 3-game losing streak having lost at home to Charleston in their bracket buster game 80-73 as an 8-point home favorite.
These two teams know one another very well and these kids go at it on the playground in the summer so you can throw out any intimidation.
This game comes down to personnel and across the board Ohio is the more balanced team, the more experienced team, the better team.
In the first meeting at Ohio, the Bobcats took what was a 3-point halftime lead and outscored the Golden Flashes 46-27 in the 2nd half for the 22-point blowout win.
Tonight is about two teams heading in opposite directions with the small road dog heading the right way and playing a team they are supremely confident against.
Not only is Ohio 4-1 ATS last 5 meetings but the road team is 5-1 ATS the last 6 meetings.
Bottom line is Ohio is peaking right now, Kent isn't and you heard it here first: it wouldn't surprise me to see Ohio punch it's ticket to the sweet sixteen once the tourney gets here.
I am hitching my 100 dime wagon to a red hot road underdog that is not only 11-1 ATS last 12 when getting points away from home but overall 17-4-1 ATS as a road dog last 22 games.
This little puppy barks and barks loudly with another road cover tonight.
