Not very fair of you, Pimpy. If Lang released the line to his clients, and the line was +2, then that's the line it should be graded at. It doesn't matter what time everybody else got his play. All that matters is what time (and what the line was) when he made the play available to his paying clients. Now I wonder how accurate the rest of his record is that you've been keeping track of.
In Pimpy's defense - the opening line was Rutgers +1 to +1.5; I've looked everywhere and haven't seen an opening line of +2 and the game was bet the opposite way; so the line only dropped from here and went off at -1 to +1. If you are a long time follower; you would know Lang often moves the line to his favor. During this recent winning streak; this is the first line in question, but during past losing streaks, there have been multiple games which were off 1-2 points or money lines which were off 20-30. I'm sure he will post the play as a push and if you are a client; you would have either lost or had to buy the 1/2 to 1 point early to have received the push as well. I do recall a time when Pimpy gave Lang a better line during a baseball loss this past season; so in my opinion, Pimpy has been doing a very good job and has been fair in the grading system; I don't think you can dispute his running total.
RE: the lines. That's cool. I've seen lines move before too. I just wanted to clarify because this line changed the team from a favorite to a dog, and I just wanted clarification because that would change who the fade should be on. Just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a mistake and I ended up fading the wrong team. Thanks for all the clarification, and for posting the picks everyday.
Listen, if Lang was just a guy on a forum posting plays and he posted a play at 8:30 AM at +2, then that is what the play should be graded at. But Lang is a tout who has people purchasing plays at all different times of the day so his plays have to be graded at a line that was prevalent for most of the day. Even the people at the site he works at know this that is why it was graded a loss.
Lang released the play at +2 but if it had gone to +3.5 at around 11AM and stayed there until around 4PM, you had better believe that his play would be graded at +3.5 and not the +2 he released it at. It works both ways.
