Imo one of the reasons fails so badly over time, which is all that matters, and especially in baseball, where so many games are

played in a season relative to other sports is that in the latter and has been pointed out, he reduces his pick for the most part to just

one factor, such as to which pitcher has the best era.

While something like this is relevant, there is so much more that needs to be considered, including gauging intangibles such as emotion

and in the case of baseball,l the long season and its implications on players and teams.

As I see it, some of this involves an intuitive sense intangible based on one's following the sport for a long period of time.

Like anything in sports and for that matter life, some people are good factoring the above in than others .

Imo, in this regard, Lang ranks near the bottom, and worse from his writeups, doesn't think that what I cited have any relevance!!
