Well, didn't look good down 14 with 9 minute to go but Santa Clara went on a 21-8 run to get it to 73-72 with the ball and a chance for the outright win.
However, Jalen Williams had his mid range jumper blocked with 6 seconds to go and that was it but the Broncos covered nevertheless losing 75-72.
So after an underdog outright on Friday with the 30 dime winner on Morehead State, and the wire to wire routs on Saturday and Sunday with Colorado and Chattanooga, we had to sweat one last night.
It all adds up to 4 straight college winners as we get ready to attack this Tuesday card as we look to make it 5 in a row.
It's March and this is about the time I take off and put together an epic run and although 4 in a row is rock solid, we're not at "EPIC" status yet.
However, since I have done this exact thing, getting red hot in March the last 2 years, it should come as no surprise that this run is happening again.
Again, Morehead State outright Friday, Colorado and Tennessee Chattanooga in epic blowouts Saturday and Sunday and the cover by Santa Clara last night.
All the conference tournaments this week and then the Big dance, NIT, CBI, CIT, I mean, money making opportunities galore.

NC Wilmington (+2 1/2) leads 55-53 with 2:33 to go in the game but goes scoreless the rest of the way losing 59-55.
What made it even worse is with 11 seconds to go down 57-55, they don't secure the rebound on a missed one and one and have to foul again leading to the failed cover.
